El Berrinches in Pilsen is a solid spot when you're craving something different. I tried the Pancita a la Coca-Cola Tacos—the pork belly was tender, and the sweet-savory glaze was on point. Also had the Camarones Nachos; the shrimp were juicy, and the toppings were generous. The vibe is chill, and the staff is friendly. Spent around $35. Only knock is the wait time during peak hours.
A warm and welcoming place in a very unobtrusive spot! We drove past it once and almost walked into the package store upstairs. Was so glad to get into the restaurant. The space is darling, and the service friendly and welcoming. The food was outstanding! As was my cucumber margarita-and my friend's Micheladas. We had the enchiladas with three Mole sauces, and the drunken fish tacos. Within 24 hours, I was already saying, “when can we go back?!“
El Berrinches is the spot if you’re looking for some bomb Mexican food in the area. I grabbed a couple of tacos de carnitas and one of their sizzling fajitas, and both hit the spot! The carnitas were so tender and juicy, and the fajitas came out piping hot with a side of fresh tortillas that you just can't beat.
