El Che Steakhouse & Bar

One of my new favorite restaurants. Service is great, food and the ambience is great. Food came out timely and drinks came fast!

Fantastic, start too finish! There's a reason El Che is in the top ten for every dining list in Chicago! Give Sledge, and the whole team, a raise. Will be back!

Me and my good girlfriend sat at the bar for happy hour and absolutely loved the ambiance. We ended up being there for hours. Thank you El Che for allowing us the space to catch up and hang out with your bartender for hours lol. It's our new hang out spot to catch up. We'll be back 🫶🏽

Always good to go to a real meat restaurant with a good service, except when the don't know how to cook the meat at medium and they serve half of it well done, for just 110$ (pure robbery) Wouldn't recommend it at all

Fortune favors the bold. Bold flavors and bold choices. We made the Leap of Faith dinner choice (chef curated 4 course menu with optional dessert). We were well cared for and the food was exceptional. Lovely space. Only (slight) ding was the volume was loud (as many great restaurants are on a Thursday night).

I love when a menu offers some of my all-time favorites! Scallops vs quail... quail won my vote- this time. Nicole elevated my expectations and suggested some great drink options. Every detail was executed to perfection. I'll be back! Soon

I was dismissed and ignored on my birthday. Restaurant staff forgot it was my birthday and were rude.

Impeccable service and great food. This spot is a favorite for sure. I love the steak, Japanese sweet potatoes and their buffalo trace old fashion is a must try. Great wine list.

El Che never disappoints! My fiancé and I came here to celebrate our ten-year anniversary, and as always, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Christian was our waiter, and he truly went above and beyond — so attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. He made our night feel extra special. We ordered the Cowboy Steak, cooked perfectly medium, and it was absolutely delicious — juicy, flavorful, and perfectly charred. The sweet potatoes with the caramel glaze were out of this world — the perfect mix of sweet and savory. We also had the broccoli, which had a bright, lemony flavor that balanced everything beautifully. El Che has become our go-to spot for celebrating milestones, and every time we come, it reminds us why. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently exceptional. Can't wait for our next visit!

Our server was exceptional, was able to explain every cut of meat. I then wanted to take a photo of the open kitchen and the Chef/Expo was kind enough to turn off the heat lamps so I could snap a pic. And to boot, the food was incredible! I would highly recommend!

The best steakhouse in Chicago! We booked them on every important dates, like birthday, anniversary. They even helped on set up our engagement and gave me a big surprise. And I love all the food, my fav are the Ribeye and sweet potatoes.

Compared to the last time, its changed alot. Its more crowded, louder and slower. The menu is smaller and not much to select from.
