Always a great place for carnivores! Creative cocktail menu. Service is always at the top of its game. Noisy but the food quality says “so what.” We'll be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this place. The food, service, and wine selections were all excellent. I was slightly disappointed that they removed my favorite whipped potatoes, but it allowed for me to try new deliciousness. Will be back.
We recently celebrated our anniversary here and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The service was exceptional and the food was the best I've have in the city. Beyond happy with our experience. They made our night feel very special!!
Connor was our server. They gave fantastic recommendations for drinks, apps, mains, and dessert. I got the surf & turf. Great flavors! The crème brûlée was outstanding!
Me and my husband had the greatest time Service food, the place everything was just so appealing and beautiful good times
Everything was great besides the oysters. My waiter was great and my date enjoyed himself for his bday !!!
Was good, but the Ribeye was $100, which I was more than willing to pay for but the quality of the steak was poor. Lots of sinew and fat, I love a ribeye, but I'm used to prime beef and assumed it would be at that price but I felt like I was served choice steak from Jewel. And even that would be ok if it was cooked well, but the meat was barely charred, just really pathetic and I had wanted to eat here for a while. Was too bad.
I recently visited for happy hour, though it was not clearly stated that the happy hour specials were limited to the bar area. That aside, the customer service was exceptional. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. I will definitely be returning.
I went there recently and the food option I tried that night was not the best in taste, but the experience overall was good. I definitely would return just not for that dinning option. The beef fat fries with the sauce poured over them is really good. Drinks excellent.

Saw the happy hour special on Insta and wanted to check it out. The food was okay, I did enjoy the lobster but my steak was a bit dry but had flavor. The beef empanadas were not flavorful but the sauce it came with was delicious.
I also started with the oysters but they had a slightly fishy taste and the toppings did not work for me
Service was good, I appreciate how the bartender worked in his area. The ambiance was nice and sultry. Great for afterwork drinks and conversation.

I had a really good time here, all the food and obviously their steak cuts were exquisite.
One thing that actually blew my mind was the beef fat fries, those were like no other.
Lovely atmosphere and service is top notch, our server even noticed the table was wobbly and fixed it for us right on the spot.
One of the best steakhouses in Chicago.

Some of the best quality meats here. Skilled cooks prepare steaks on open fire smokers. It's definitely worth the visit. Drinks were great, thanks to Sledge and Trevor! They have happy hour, too.

First and foremost props to Marco for delivering some of the best service I have had in Chicago. That being said, time to move on to the food. When I go to an "Argentine" restaurant I compare immediately to Don Julio in Buenos Aires. With that being said El Che is as authentic as you can get to an Argentine experience in Chicago without going to Argentina itself. The steak was delicious and aged to perfection. I appreciated their wine menu which had the provinces of Argentina divided up so you can see the wine regions. The papas bravas were top notch, as the potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with an absolutely killer aioli. The only drawback for me was the chimmichurri, as it had a bit more parsley than I would like it was good just not for my palate. Otherwise a great Argentine experience.

Keep your iPhone in your purse!!!!
unfortunately I'm leaving this 1 star review not because the the food but for the lack of professionalism. I was visiting on Oct 28th and decided to choose this place for a bday dinner. I left my business phone by accident and tracked it by "Find my iPhone". In the alert message I stated" please call if found" then put my personal number for someone to reach out if found. However I already seen on "find my iPhone" it was still at the restaurant. Employee reached out that night called me stated he found the iPhone under my exact seating table and he would ship it out. we kept in contact for a few days then he turned my phone off and stopped responding. I emailed management before writing this review to resolve issue. Again nobody responded to the email.I had to spend an additional $1,200 on replacing my iPhone after the employee said he would return it.
For spending over $250 on a dinning experience to not even receive a response PLUS a stolen phone was super distasteful.
Lesson learned keep your iPhone in your purse you may have to purchase another one.
