We tried El Cid after the farmer's market this morning and had a wonderful time. They have a beautiful outdoor patio which was perfect for a warm-ish fall day, but I didn't see the inside of the restaurant to evaluate. We had a round of margaritas, and I had some steak tacos. The margaritas were great and the tacos were good. I didn't really enjoy the chips and salsa for lack of flavor and quantity. The service was pretty slow today, but the waitress explained they...

UPDATE:

Owner finally responded to me 5 years later after inflation has hit the US at a rate of about 25%. $13 back then is about $18 now. As you can see in the picture there is a whole avocado in the cup and maybe 4-5 pieces of most likely frozen shrimp.

They wildin for this $13 shrimp cocktail. I feel like the portioning is smaller compared to other restaurants at the price point. The shrimp was delicious still. Also ordered a papa rellena,...

Ordered for takeout, and the food was amazing! They said it would take 20 mins, but when we arrived there, it took a bit longer. They acknowledged it as they were busy. I would definitely love to come in for dine-in. For anyone that used to go to the restaurant Lazo's, the seasoning of the food is exactly like that! Which is a huge compliment as my family and I loved that place. This restaurant has brought back old memories, and we will now be frequent eaters here :)
