Our go to - clark Street location in Rogers Park! Love the nachos and burritos, pickled peppers and really every single thing that I have ever eaten. I have a cilantro allergy and they've never gotten it wrong

One of my favorite Mexican food restaurants!!! Love the food and service! Been eating here for almost 25 years!!!Parking: Street parking is available, however pay to park is primarily the only option. If you park further away it is possible to find limited free parking by peoples residences.

I've been a regularly customer, for 34 years now, at the restaurant on Clark St. in Rogers Park. They remain a great place for good, straight-forward Mexican food! Not very fancy, but very reliable for very delicious food!

Be careful ordering online, got double charged somehow. I ve contacted the store, went in twice to show bank info, same info they already have and just getting a runaround.I get inflation, spent $18.34 w/tip for a burrito that is fine but got charged $36.68.....for one burrito....

It's been a long time since we've eaten at El Famous but today I had a taste for some non-fancy Mexican food. Sundays and Tuesdays they have $1.99 tacos and they are substantial. You order at the counter and they deliver the food to your table. Chips and salsa are on the house. Will be back soon!

I love a ground beef taco in a flour shell. I love a carne asada on a corn tortilla don't get me wrong, but a flour tortilla ground beef taco is where my heart is. This place has one of my favorites. Great seasoned meat, a little jammy from cooking down, and a little spiceExcellent churros! Strawberry, chocolate, Nutella, classic churros!!! Always fresh and tasty. Great prices, great horchata - what more can you ask for

Honestly, I've only had the fish torta from here, but it's so damn good. It doesn't say on some of the online menus but they season/cook the fish with chipotles. Also always super fast, which is nice.Saw a few reviews that said their food was bland and someone said their horchata wasn't good (???) and I have to assume these people had taste loss due to covid or some other illness lol.

My review was based solely on the tacos that are a good deal for $2 each on taco Tuesday. The Al pastor did not taste like Al pastor and was mediocre. But it is a burrito place so those might be better so just avoid the Al pastor. You also get chips and salsa if you dine in.

Great food and great prices! Love having this place in the neighborhood! Tacos and burritos are so good but my fave is the rice and beans! Truly the best anywhere!
