I honestly just go here for the heart-shaped polvorones. I uses to have them when I was a little kid and now me and my nieces/nephews eat them too!! They taste just how they did many years ago!!
i have been going here since the early 80's. My favorite all time cookie are the triangle shaped ones flavored with the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry! When I moved away from the neighborhood my parents remained. i would visit my folks house and when i had time i would stop by El Nopal and buy my special cookies. Sometimes i had to buy and eat them in private!! So good not so share!! My heart dropped when they closed. Couldnt find another place to match that cookie....
