Buena comida y rapidez y calidad
** Under new management!**
Pros: Cleanliness, price, parking, BYOB, food!
Cons: No changing table in the bathroom 😩
Overall: Great food!!
Couple things were ordered: Calamari, Prepared Oysters, Tacos, Shrimp Empanadas, and Shrimps in Sauce!
Starting with apps: Calamari was cooked to perfection! Ceviche was BOMB, and the empanadas were my overall favorite.
Entree: Tacos had great flavor, good portion, and salsas were delicious.
Shrimps were so flavorful!
Overall: So excited to be back. Waitresses were so attentive!

This place has the best Langostinos I have ever had really really good food. Small hidden place but great service and great waitress.the tacos are good and the tortas are huge. But the Langostinos are the main attraction a must try!

Some of the best horchata I've had the pleasure of sipping. Music is popping and the service is top notch.

Exquisite food, a place you have to visit if you come to Chicago, the seafood is super fresh and delicious, the prepared oysters are a delight, the fried snapper wow how tasty and the mole enchiladas another delight, without a doubt it is typical Mexican food with a seasoning for more demanding palates

Too expensive and very bad food
This BYOB place is an unassuming gem. The mostly Spanish speaking staff takes great pride in their work. Every flavor in their dishes display that pride. Their beef fajita's have ruined all other Mexican restaurant's for me and I found their bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed shrimp sublime.

barbas has great fresh seafood, i started with the west coast oysters, that were the perfect size, they have the tradicional horse radish but opt for the mango habanero sauce it paired well with the oyster and for a for a dollar can’t beat that value, the breaded shrimp was a perfect golden brown, the real star of the show was the camarones a la diabla, the sauce was spicy sweet and tangy had a real bite, over all great food great service
