El Rey Del Taco & Burritos

This is my favorite place for chicharron gorditas I was there Thursday I order a gordita and a coffee the waitress said there no coffee.I when today and asked for a coffee again same waitress and same thing there was no coffee I said I can Waite for some to be made she said she was not making any. we order and eat while she was leaned on a table.talking on her phone. It's good food but the costumer service at this point sucks ? t

The chicharron gorditas or tacos are the best u tasted with big pieces of pork on it not soggy like everywhere else and if u like spicy have a taco bravo.

Great great food, never disappointed, I ordered chiles rellenos plate it’s was delicious, the place looks simple from the outside but the food it is really good! Highly recommended

Wow! $42.00 for a giant size Burrito, & a super Steak nacho, large Horchata, ok the nacho wasn’t worth it. It barely had any steak meat just a lot of condiments and the Burrito was the same way. Where is the meat if you guys are going to be charging such high prices at least add the meat, the Horchata tasted like water barely any flavor for the price I paid I expect that much much more. It’s a shame to because the little pieces of steak I had taste good my expectations was not met.

Like every mexican restautant, the food is good but the place is like cheap brothel they don't have AC neither Heater at least they don't play music.

I can't put into words how amazing this place is. Try it. Your taste buds will thank you for it.

Once one of my favorite places on the southwest side, this place has come down significantly. Like many other small restaurants across Chicago that have taken a hit by Covid, El Rey has adjusted business losses by raising prices and lowering quality and quantity. It seems like you can't go to a small mom and pop restaurant any more without paying 30 to 40 dollars for a dinner for 2 and get average to below average food. We all know that prices never come down once they go up, so take a deep breath and start planning on making food at home more often.
