Best food! I came to el Santo several times with different people, and they loved it. I also brought my parents to come out and try it out. My parents loved the food, also.

Not the biggest fan of this place. We started off with the guacamole and chips, and the guac tasted old, definitely not fresh, and very bland. Most likely store bought/packaged. The chips were also stale and not very good. Tried the chicken taco which was terrible. Very salty and just low quality. The shrimp and barbocoa were actually very good. The rumchata and strawberry rumchata were not up to par. They were very powdery and didn't have the authentic taste. Strawberry one tasted straight up like nesquick strawberry milk, wouldn't recommend.

Great food and great service! The steak/bacon taco and the sweet pork taco were both excellent. Definitely a unique menu that I haven't seen anywhere else in Chicago. Was really impressed with the atmosphere and decor as well. Well definitely be back!

Great place to eat. I love the pork tacos they have and my favorite dish is the Pig Mac. The popper tacos are delicious as well. These are not your run of the mill, average tacos. These are Souther California inspired tacos that have amazing flavor and colorful presentation. Highly recommended.

El Santo is a favorite spot of mine. Obviously the artwork surrounding this restaurant is enough of a grip to start with--but they have very specific and unique recipes I cherish. Personally the barbacoa taco was my favorite. I am sad they switched their drinks to exclusively one brand, but that brand is local so I am happy for their dedication to go local, even if I don't like the drinks. Everyone there is super nice, the entire place is gorgeous, and it's a good spot for a date.
