I'm a lifelong chicago native. Alot of the places that had a chicago 'feel' to them have long gone away. Now I'm not saying this happens everyday but tonight as I enjoyed my taco dinner the cooks started singing to the radio. Doesn't seem like much buts its small things like this that remind me of a simpler, easier time.

I have liked this place for years, always more authentic than many Mexican restaurants around the area, but like everything else, service has been a little slower than before, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the food here!

This place is affordable and good. I decided to try something new and the food was good. I had a nopales (cactus) gordita and shrimp tostada. The gordita was just amazing. The nopales had a very unique seasoning that made my taste buds water. I will definitely order gordita again. The tostada was just okay. It was like a shrimp coctel on a tostada. I also recommend al pastor and steak tacos. Service is also fast. I took a star away because the the ladies working there can be nicer, specially an older lady at the register.Parking: If you during lunch hour or weekend, parking is a nightmare. Their parking is super small (for about 5 cars). If full, you have to park a block or two down.

The food was good but the sanitation of that restaurant meets the standards of Mexico Sanitation but not sanitation standards of the USA they need to make the sanitation books in Spanish so the owners of this restaurant can understand you're supposed to throw your toilet paper in the toilet after you're done wiping during number two the bathroom as well as the whole building needs to be shut down and cleaned it's amazing the city hasn't gotten after them

I ordered at around 9:40ish am this morning and I am disappointed with my order. I was the only customer at that time. I ordered two tacos de lengua. The lengua was extremely dry and was not even hot. The tortilla was not even heated properly. I also ordered arroz and frijoles on the side and they were extremely salty and also cold. The rice was burnt and looked old from the day before. I live 5 min away, impossible for food to get this cold and nasty. Just by looking at the rice, it looks nasty.

Nothing was fresh!!! 4 sopes 2 steak and 2 pork tasted really bad, also ordered pork skin stew in green sauce was NOT worth the $14! It was barely edible! The first two times I ordered from there it was good but tonight’s order was beyond disappointing! Food (sopes) tasted horrible! I also don’t like posting negativity but at today’s prices the food should be fresh!!! Above order came to just under $50!!!

This place has amazing food and their service is always fast and friendly.Three stars on atmosphere is only because it's more of a local hole in the wall and not fancy. Absolutely nothing wrong with that just saying it's probably not a great first date place, unless she just loves to eat as much as you do. In that case, she's probably a keeper and you should consider marrying her.

Doors dont work. Hard to open and close. When attempting to leave place with my food and orchata, I struggled to open door. When I finally forced door to open, I accidently splilled my drink all over sidewalk and my coat. Staff laughted at me and did nothing. Dont care about Orchata or few dollars but if staff doesnt care about normal functioning doors, their customers they most likely dont care about quality of food too. I stopped going there, my family wont go there either. (Food seemes OK always)

Not sure how they pass health code. Service is not good and charging gratuity because my 4 year old was with 4 adults is really ridiculous. No signs or anything saying gratuity charged on any size party either. Will not be returning as this place has gone down hill.

Cashier was rude and inpatient with us soon as we went in to place an order to go. Making faces. Also it was very inconvenient they only accepted cash. They have a ATM inside ready to charge you their fee so you can withdraw. Parking was horrible in the back of the small restaurant with only a few spaces that were all taken, so had to park across.
This been the best burrito that I have tasted I and my family really enjoy your plate . God bless the owner and the cooker awesome thank you.

Almost always on time and delicious. What could improve is only when request a modification the cooks seem Carles or unfocused even if slow. I would still recommend as far as next to the authentic Mexican it’s 3/4 stars.

This place has the best steak tacos and burritos in the dunning area. Chicken tacos are ok too. This place is nothing special on the outside, parking is around the side and you drive in on an unpaved road and park in the back. Inside is pretty ugly looking, to be blunt, the place could use a makeover but just order takeout if that bothers you. Everyone I've had takeout or even dine in the service has been good. Even gave us little trial cups of the horchata and the habiscus drink which I appreciate and promptly ordered. There isn't much of a showing for Mexican food in the dunning area. The places that exist are mediocre at best. Most of them give you some grey looking carne asada, bland carne asada, or carne asada that is cut super fine that it's more like ground beef looking. That's not the case here, they know how to make a decently juicy steak with good flavor.The burritos have been my go to but I really want to try their dinner plates like the carne asada.
