The draft iced coffees here are unbelievable! The brown acid is probably the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Convenient location near the blue line too.

A little disappointed, we ordered a Cafe Miel, aged espresso mocha, and a blueberry muffin but only the Miel was palatable. The muffin was dry, yet tasted doughy and undercooked. The aged espresso could be could if you liked aged drinks, but it was not for us. Otherwise the service was great and friendly and the decor was unique and fun.

Stepping inside Electric Mud is like walking into a café that understands flavor and atmosphere equally well. The dark-toned interiors, exposed bulbs, and local art pieces create an edgy vibe that still feels welcoming. There’s a low hum of conversation and the occasional laugh, making it a space perfect for settling in with a latte or getting your mind going with a cold brew.
Their espresso has bite and depth earthy, balanced, and the kind that lingers. I paired it with a savory toast topped with avocado and microgreens a clean, fresh bite that harmonized with the coffee. Whether you’re there solo or with company, Electric Mud delivers a solid, thoughtful experience without needing to shout.

6:13am and not open. Update hours on Google or be open. There are very few 6am coffee shops available for working people who may need to be at work at / before 7am. This was my first time trying EM and may be my last

This local boutique roaster and purveyor micro chain redefined the culture of coffee for Chicago years ago and they just keep upping the game. A Bucktown buckaroo bedazzled and beanariffic.
