I can forgive the inscrutable kitsch of the National Parks rebranding. Hell, I’ll even forgive the coffee never being hot enough. But now Rivers and Roads is letting State Farm insurance agents stand in their entryway and try to sell insurance to their customers. Ghoulish behavior, if you ask me. What are the kickbacks like from State Farm? Why should we, the good people of Chicago, stand for such nuisances?
Listen, we all get like a million emails per day from banks, subscription services, health care companies, con artists, hucksters, e-commerce sites, snake oil salesmen, and internet providers. We have very little power to halt the velocity of profit preying upon our lives. But I think we can at least agree on this: we should purchase our caffeine somewhere that doesn’t also try to sell us insurance.
Love this place! I look forward to the first of every month solely for the seasonal menus they do. Staff are super friendly too. They focus on what produce are in season and often give back to the community.

A happening coffee shop. Seems to fill up with Loyola students but it's worth the wait. I usually go with rosemary sea salt bagel and salmon. Nice portions.

If a place like this can perfect a classic like the Bacon Egg & cheese to the point you question how they got it to taste so exquisite, I have no doubts that Everything on the menu is excellently crafted and more than well thought out and using the highest quality ingredients possible. The relatively small size of the menu itself exemplifies that. I doubt this will remain a hidden gem for much longer unless people keep hiding it!
This is place is trully a must try

I got the chicken chorizo breakfast sandwich that has a great aioli sauce with it. The butter croissant I got was a little cold but this is my second time coming here and it doesn’t disappoint!

The stuffing and the blueberry biscuits are SO delicious and just perfectly crumbly. The hospitality here is always superb and I love seeing all the furry friends get their Java from the to go window. Also love how much enthusiasm they put into their seasonal menu items, they are very creative!

Awful matcha, not the color it’s supposed to be. not sure why anyone goes here. Went to get a chai as well and it was just as disgusting.
