This place has really declined. It used to be awesome but now the quality just isn't there. The bi bim bap and tacos used to be awesome but now fewer ingredients and lesser quality.

I was really hesitant in trying this place. But a lot of Korean reviewers said they loved it so i went based ok their approval. While the food was good, it certainly wasn't the best. And like others have said, there's little to no interaction with the staff. I placed my order online and it was placed on the takeout table by the time I had arrived. Nobody to greet you, and nobody to thank you on your way out. They advertise it online as being a healthier Korean food. And I would have to agree with them. So I can't fault them for trying to be to healthy, but that's why I was honestly hesitant in trying to try this place out. I ordered a Beef Bibimbop and two Beef Paratha Tacos. They put online that instead of having mostly rice they changed it up and made it into more of a salad. And instead of a fried egg, they used a boiled egg. The flavors were definitely there, just not a big fan of eating salads for dinner. The Paratha Taco was tasty. The beef was very tender and the paratha shell had a nice flaky crust. It came with kimchi, sweet and spicy aioli, their veggie mix and sesame seed. Wouldn't mind ordering these again if I do decide to return. Overall the food was great, but was just thrown off by the zero interaction with customers. Some people might like this, but I haven't been sold on this type of customer service yet. My family liked the food, but unfortunately for them, I don't know if I'd ever return anytime soon.

Since this place has been automated, food quality and ambience has suffered.

Today I stopped into En Hakkore to have lunch with a friend whilst our kids napped. The first thing I noticed when I stepped in was that it smelled incredibly strongly of disinfectant or something--not something you want overpowering your guests. But we must have gotten used to it because I didn't notice it quite as much by the time we left. I'm not sure if it was always like this or if they pivoted during the pandemic, but they don't have employees here to take orders. I suspect it was not always that way because there seems to be an order counter here that just isn't used that way any longer. When you enter, there are two order machines (though only one seemed to be working when I visited). There are three tables here, one a long, family-style table, and they bring your food out fairly quickly--I think maybe five minutes or so and our food came to us. It's served in a to-go container but you can eat in if you wish. The food was good. I got the bibimbap with beef and it was yummy. You can switch it up and have brown or black rice for an extra buck; I decided to save the dollar rather than get brown rice. We also got some potstickers to share and those were good as well. I thought the food had good flavor and the beef wasn't fatty, which I hate. I was able to customize my order easily enough to keep off those dreaded mushrooms, but most everything else was delicious. Parking is street only which can be tricky sometimes in Bucktown. You can order in store and wait for your order, or you can order ahead for pickup. They have free water but sodas are in the can for $1.50. Menus are on the order machine, but they have a QR code on the tables to pull it up on your phone and not hog the machine.

I hate giving bad reviews, but this was ridiculously bad food. To be fair, we only ordered two items: mushroom and pork parathas. Both were the opposite of delicious and for the price, insulting. The veggie mix is cabbage and carrots with no dressing or sauce, just cold and tasteless. The mushrooms were cold and either out of a can or possibly boiled a few days before and kept in the fridge. There was zero flavor! The pork one was not any better. We took a bite of each and couldn't finish.

The food here is fantastic. I ordered a sushi burrito for lunch and it was perfect - fresh ingredients and the perfect balance. Portions are generous. I ordered the mini bowl for lunch tomorrow and can't wait to go back to work to inhale it.

I absolutely love their tacos and they're only 6 per taco. The soft Flatbread they use for the wrap is delicious and they usually fill them pretty hefty which is fantastic! Definitely get the red sauce and orange one ??

Food was not even remotely close to anything Korean. Somewhat overpriced. Layout is very weird as there is no one at the counter and the kitchen just seems like some other room in the back. Doesn’t even feel like a restaurant really.

I came here on a trip to Chicago in 2015... Eight years later I still remember the amazing paratha wrap I had here. Hope I can come back one day!

Wrong order, Horrible customer service! We placed an order on 7/8/23 and received the completely WRONG order, then the person at the restaurant blamed it on Doordash, the delivery service. We ordered ALL sauces in the side, and NONE were on the side When we called to tell them they gave us the wrong order, the clerk was SUPER rude, did nothing to rectify the situation, and if the owner of this restaurant sees this post, I would find better staff. Unacceptable to pay this much money for a poke bowl, then they do not read the instructions on the order, then be rude to the customer when they call to get the food they ordered. Don't waste your time at this place. I just threw out my food. Maybe turn down the music so you can hear the customer and focus on making the proper food that customers order.

Their paratha tacos are legitimately the food I treat myself with every time I do a long run. It's incredible, I go in twice a month at least.

Doesn't feel like a real restaurant, you order on a machine then it is dropped in to go containers at table, which there are only 2 tables. Felt weird like a pop up store.

I would give this place a 5th star if they improve the ambiance here. It is very dreary and bland with an almost run down feel. You will notice right away that no employees are around. There are 2 machines to order from, a counter top as well as an old 80's coffee machine that has been out of order for at least a year. There are 5 things on the menu with the star being the tacos called Prathas. They come in 3 options for protein with the pork being the best in my opinion. They have Bibimbap and they have glass noodles. Honestly all of the things they have are great but if you are just trying it for the first time, go with the Pratha. Once you order, you kind of just hang around until someone from the kitchen comes out with the food they just cooked and calls your name. You grab it from the counter (or if they aren't busy they will walk it to you) and sit down to eat...then leave. This is a great place for a quick bite and I've come here quite a few times to settle my hunger.
