I visited Erie Cafe with six guys from the neighborhood for a dinner that demanded great meat and zero pretension, and this place delivered the ultimate old-school Chicago steakhouse experience. We started strong with the massive Garbage Salad, Italian Sausage with Peppers, and Baked Clams, which set the perfect tone before the main event. Since it was the weekend, several of us committed to the Prime Rib special, and it was incredible—a prehistoric, bone-in slab cooked perfectly...
