I was excited to try Espression by Lavazza for a cortado thinking it must be good expresso, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The barista asked me how many shots I wanted in a cortado, I have never been asked this before, and when I had to look it up for her, she seemed visibly annoyed and was rude when I collected my drink. The espresso itself was weak and lacked depth.

The coffee here is on point – smooth, rich, and exactly what you expect from Lavazza. The food is fresh and flavorful, perfectly paired with the drinks. I bought directly from Lavazza USA. The website was a little confusing, I wanted Nespresso capsule. I did a search for Nespresso and bought 4 different boxes. 2 boxes received are not Nespresso type, some other kind, I rechecked the website and it doesn’t specifically say Nespresso, but it doesn’t say Keurig either. I contacted Lavazza but no response, no service, no care. Never again.

Amazing coffee here. Got a cappuccino every day during my stay at The Drake. The baristas really know how to make a great flavored cappuccino without the coffee or flavor being overwhelming or sweet. Everyone there is friendly and readily offers suggestions or advice when ordering.
Slowest service, forgot to make one of my drinks. You’d think if it takes 25 minutes to make a cream cheese bagel they’d put the cream cheese on the bagel…nope, it’s 25 minutes just to toast the bagel the spreading you get to do yourself. Awful experience.

Good fresh croissants but coffee is surprisingly mediocre. Also ordered double espresso to stay - got a single espresso in a paper cup. So double check what you get and maybe repeat several times to get it in a porcelain cup...
