Etta closed last weekend yet still allowed future reservations to be booked without notifying anyone. We had a dinner planned for 8 people a month in advance so our night was ruined when we arrived to find the restaurant closed. Our group met here from all different parts of the city to have our night wasted. Not sure how Etta and Opentable allowed this to happen. The restaurant even showed up on Google as open.
We had a wonderful dinner at Etta. Our server was excellent - friendly, offered great suggestions, and made the evening memorable. The food was inventive and so delicious. The cocktails were great as well. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
We had a party of 7. We ordered several different dishes and shared them all. Everything was wonderful! Definitely recommend for a group our size or a date night.
Went for an anniversary brunch before hitting some late Saturday afternoon plans and was pretty underwhelmed. The brunch menu was more limited than what they had online and none of the dinner options are available to supplement the fewer choices presented. Cocktails are basic and waitress did her job but just that. Not particularly friendly and no acknowledgment of the reason we put down for being there (anniversary). I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend but wouldn't say don't go either if you're just passing by.
I hadn't been to Etta in years and wasn't sure what to expect. It blew me out of the water, just as fantastic as ever. Our server, Keith, was also amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, perfectly paced our meal, and struck the right balance of attentiveness. We sat on the rooftop deck/patio, which was so wonderful for a summer night in the city. It was the best!
I had wonderful experience—service was excellent and the food was very good. Everything felt well taken care of, and I'd be happy to come back.
Our experience was ok. Although the food was good, there was no bartender so we were not able to order drinks.
I came for the oysters. I love grilled and char broiled oysters. Etta was recommended to me for their grilled oysters. I had the chili-lime butter oysters with cilantro and tajin. What wonderful flavors. A burst of lime uplifted the dish adding to the lasting taste. The only downside is really more of a personal bias. Though amazing tasting, I expected the oyster to be a bit more grilled and also larger. These oysters were quite tiny and also a bit undercooked for my taste. Despite that, I enjoyed them. The other item I ordered was recommended by my very helpful waitress. The wagyu meatballs were out of this world flavorsome. Garlic, tomato and giardinera left a lingering and tangy loveliness.

The host was rude, made no eye contact, and was short with us, which was an unfortunate first impression for this restaurant, we almost left. but i'm glad we didn't because the food was ammaaazinggg, and our server was nice. We will be back!

Our server was so friendly and helpful, he made the experience amazing! The wagyu strip was the best steak I have ever had in my life.
Had brunch at Etta Bucktown on Sunday around 12:30 pm. Pulled up on a casual weekend and snagged a spot on the rooftop — service was super friendly, staff didn’t miss a beat between rounds. Food was fire: the wood‑fired focaccia w/ ricotta & honey + margherita pizza, ricotta pillows, Young Farm Caesar salad and an espresso martini to close it out—everything hit just right¹. Zero complaints, neighborhood gem. 5★

Family style dining and Adrienne made us feel like family. She was such a fabulous server. Knowledgeable about the food and wine, great recommendations. Perfect atmosphere and ambiance. We ordered the boiling shrimp, whipped potatoes, a caesar salad and the ribeye steak. All were cooked to perfection without feeling heavy after. 10/10 recommend 👌
