Etta is a lovely and innovative Italian splurge.Waiter was enthusiastic to recommend us wine to our flavorless palettes ? we tried so much - and it was so good I forgot to take picturesClassic traditional Italian atmosphere, with a friendly neighbors charm.Top dishes: focaccia with whipped ricotta ❤️, burratta and beet salad, veal bologneseAnd a pepperoni pizza that all other pepperoni pizzas dream of (the sweet + spicy diavola)! And to finish it all off, the celebration shot - a birthday cookie and a tequila coffee shot.I don't know when I will be back but I know I will

A solid place to dine for brunch, lunch, and dinner. This time I came for brunch for a party of 4. The brunch menu isn’t Italian though like their lunch and dinner menu. There’s a little bit of everything. We got the student loan relief cocktails, brioche French toast, huevos rancheros, crispy potatoes, and chicken tower. The waitress upsold us with the chicken tower and said it’s what they’re known for for brunch, and that it was very instagramable. So we were a little underwhelmed when the two tier tower came out. It was still good but we expected more in quantity and presentation for a $50 fried chicken tower. Everything else was great though. I would definitely come again for brunch to try the other dishes.

It all depends on what you are expecting when you go to Etta. If you want to hang out with friends to chat and already ate food at home before coming, yes it's a nice place to do that I guess. If you are hungry and looking to be fed full, you might be disappointed. I'm from a Mediterranean country myself and there's no way an Italian would call this a proper dinner - maybe just an appetizer. I thought the chicken dish labeled as order to the table for 44 bucks was going to be enough to share with my wife but as it turns out, I alone could have eaten it as the first introductory course before the main entree. So after we had our "dinner" there, we went out to find some real sustenance to complete the rest of our dinner. Calling this place pricey is an understatement. That's what you get in downtown Chicago I guess.

We sit at the bar & met the best bartender! LUIS! Service was super friendly, attentive and definitely felt like home! Arriba Latinos! Definitely coming back! Love you Luis! Your new friends from Puerto Rico!

Fantastic neighborhood eatery in downtown Chicago. The service was excellent! I sat at the bar both times. I had the wagyu meat balls and the oysters. Talk about flavor!! Everything was delicious! But my favorite of all was the bubbling shrimp. It was amazing, and i would have gotten 3 servings of it if it wasn't as pricey. Speaking of, yes, this place is a bit pricey, but the quality is worth it! Last, I got the margherita pizza, which seems to be a favorite there, and it was good. All in all, it's a very nice place, perfect for a night out with friends, and a nice date or just a quick stop if you're alone. I definitely recommend. 5 stars!!

Poor service from staff. Seemed lots of staff but none really doing much or focusing on one area of tables. We seemed to be served by a total of about 5 staff in our visit and our main waiter (the one we served us most anyway) seemed to be serving tables all over the restaurant. When asked for something they frequently forgot so had to ask again. Two of our meals were bought out at the same time but the third wasn’t bought out for maybe 10 minutes after which meant this of us who had waited to start had slightly cold food as we wanted to eat together as much as we could. Food was fine, but nothing special at all. Overall this appears to be too much ‘show’ in terms of looking good and staff looking good and busy, but the reality is the level of service and quality of food does not in any way match what would you expect from the appearance. Disappointing.

Chic vibes - great for a women’s night out! Service was high quality - great recs and definitely knowledgeable. The food was amazing! Loved the Caesar and the pizza, but the highlight was the ricotta balls appetizer by far! Cocktails were outstanding too.

Sat outside, wasn’t too loud of a road. Food was some of the most interesting we had in the city, plates were well portioned for sharing. Our server Pablo was great.

Had a birthday celebration dinner at Etta last weekend. Chose to sit outside because the weather was a perfect September evening in Chicago. Food was yummy - we had the Gnocchi, the Diavola Pizza with Calabrian chili honey and the house baked focaccia. Nick was our server and was super attentive to our needs and my daughter's birthday celebration. I cannot speak to the atmosphere inside, as we were lucky to sit outside. Overall, I would go back on my next trip to Chicago and request Nick as our waiter again!

Etta was recommended by foodie friends. We were disappointed with the service. Waiting on two older women was not a priority for the staff. Food was delivered quickly and that resulted in it getting cold prior to eating so we never really were able to enjoy the flavors.

Beautiful & eclectic. Open, airy and relaxing. The margherita pizza was easily the best pizza I've ever had, fresh ingredients and the crust was perfectly cooked. Pasta was also cooked to perfection and sauce was full of flavor. If you want an upscale but modern place to eat with amazing service & food this is it.

The reservation e-mail bounces back, the phone number is automated and AI offers to send a text with your question answered. When the text arrives, there's no information. There's no way to reach the restaurant. The Website says they are closed on Tuesday for lunch, the reservation system accepts reservations for lunch on Tuesdays. Our corporate team of 20+ attorneys moved on and found a place that answers the phone.

Came by at 9, went with the host and she refused to put us on the waiting list, there where many tables available and they couldn't offer us a table, we asked to talk to the manager to see what he can offer us, we explained we were celebrating the 78th birthday of mu Grandma and he was actually kind of rude, saying that if it was that important we should have done a reservation. I really wanted to try this place, came from out the country, and heard really good reviews from friends of mine... so sad, don't recommend. If you don't have a reservation don't come in
