We stopped by yesterday after a nice day at the Zoo. Now we're all sick. Everyone had different things therefore we aren't really sure what it was, perhaps some cross contamination happened somewhere. We've reached out to management / owner that laughed at us and brushed us off. Hope they fix whatever is going on before making more people ill.
To the owner... You certainly were opened on Sunday! we have receipts and the ridiculous response to our concern when we reached out... Is this not Mitchell Jamra?

Rotten food. Called and even the employee said yeah, the meat is turning green. 😱 Response to the owner's comment; I'm not 'at it again' I live around the corner and have given this place chance after chance. Well now, never again. Lesson learned.

A friend recommended I try Evette’s for lunch and the recommendation did not disappoint. We came for brunch and had 6 tacos. I had the halloumi tacos and my partner had the shawarma tacos. Bother were fantastic. The seasonings were on point and the parsley chimichurri was bright and fresh. The garlic feta fries with Evette’s famous pink mayo was also amazing. We will definitely be coming back again.

Had an amazing meal at Evette’s! The garlic feta fries were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect start to our meal. For the main course, we tried the chicken shawarma, and it did not disappoint. Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The location itself is charming—clean, cozy, and welcoming. Highly recommend this spot for anyone in the area!

So incredible. I’m from the Palestinian diaspora in Lebanon and this hits every spot from home. The shawarma is perfectly cooked and charred/caramelized with amazing flavor and tenderness. All of the flavors pair so well together. My only regret is not coming here sooner when I first heard about it.

Shawarma bowl was good and had an interesting composition of chicken, couscous, salad and fries. Garlic sauce is exceptional. Feta fries are also very good. Only downside is limited outdoor space - but atmosphere inside is fun and unique.

This place was fantastic! We went to the zoo and decided to eat somewhere that wasn't straight American stuff. We couldn't decide on where to go so we agreed on something new and am I glad we did that. I got a pita wrap and we also got a bowl. Incredible flavors all around. The pink yogurt sauce (I'm not sure if it is) but it was phenomenal. Cannot wait to come back to the city and eat here. Ima be telling all my friends to check it out. Small space and friendly staff and small menu; you can't go wrong with anything on there.

Those steak tacos were amazing and the feta fries were gorgeous and tasty
The food was delicious and nice location and staff. $18 for a shawarma pita but I guess makes sense for the location. Pretty small menu.

The best loaded fries I have ever had! The pita bread with Halloumi was pretty mid in comparison. The atmosphere not really the best. Better for takeout.

We stayed right across the street from Evette’s while visiting Chicago, so we had the good fortune to eat here multiple times. The Lebanese Pita is delicious! I also recommend the Halloumi tacos. The atmosphere is laid back and particularly pleasant. It’s worth visiting!

Delicious food! I got the gyro tacos. the meat was delicious and flavorful as well as the pita bread and everything else. If I lived in Chicago I’d wanna eat them everyday. I’ll have to come back one day to try the fries. They looked delicious too. Service was fast and music was good. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for good Lebanese food.
