What a fantastic evening. Service, food and atmosphere were great. We had a reuban, pizza, and Proabition burger. We also had cheese curds and the buffalo wings. Everything tasted fantastic. Would highly recommend and will visit again.
Great steaks, fabulous onion rings and generous portioned cocktails, all for a very reasonable price, considering we were in downtown Chicago's theatre district.
The food was good and well priced. We had an event at Roosevelt University and it was very comvenient.
Our meal at Exchequer was tasty! We split the vodka rigatoni with sausage and a small crispy pizza. Both were very yummy, good portions and came out hot! It was a Monday night, so it wasn't very busy but that let us get a good look at the decor. It was fun looking at the different posters displayed. Our server was nice and gave good recommendations. Overall, a pleasant experience!
Food and service were amazing. I had the pomegranate martini and my table shared salad, ribs and rigatoni with vodka sauce. So good will come back next time we're in Chicago! Our server showed us to the speakeasy and we had another cocktail great time!
The pizza was very tasty and the martinis were AMAZING! Perfect lunch before going to the theater
Tasty, reliably prepared food with a home-cooked style. Always feel better about myself and the world after dining here.
Had reservations for 6 after a train ride into the city Friday afternoon.
Got there 10 min earlier and were seated right away.
Ordered a pizza, a few appetizers and some drinks.
The waiter was very friendly and answered all of our questions.
The pizza was, Wow. So good.
The sweet potato fries were amazing too.
Highly recommend!

To eat Deep Dish Pizza, it is “the” place. But… there was a Pizza tasting and they told us that orders took 1 hour that's why when we were seated. Half misplaced.

Exchequer Restaurant & Pub has the best pizza in the Loop, and probably the best in Chicago. They know how to make a great Chicago thin crust with the perfect amount of toppings. Delicious.

Came here after the marathon and was able to snag some spots at the bar. I’d come back for the chicken club alone! Minus one star because an individual in our group did not get his meal until everyone else was almost finished eating. Most likely because of the chaos of the marathon crowd, but still not ideal.

Food was good. The prices were decent. I did not care for the coleslaw but the ribs tasted good and they fell off the bone. Service was ok It took a long time to get the check after finishing our meal.

I visited Chicago last year and our conference sponsor treated us to dinner here. The pizza was delicious! I decided to eat here again during my visit this year. The pizza was good and the cheese is outstanding! Our server was very nice and patient. She was helpful in helping me decide which pizza style I wanted.

At the last minute, a friend and I felt like pizza after work Friday night and I called to see if I could get a 5p reservation. It was easy to make and was there waiting for me when I arrived. They do seem to have open table but open table showed it was blocked out, maybe because it was too close to the time.
They were willing to seat me even though my friend hadn't arrived and gave us a great booth towards the back. Decor is British pub but also feels very old school Chicago since this bar is 50 years old, under the el tracks on wasbash in the loop.
We were greeted quickly and weren't ready yet. But a few minutes later someone else came to take our orders so we didn't wait long. However they were out of cider which is what my friend had been interested in. He settled on wine and I had a Guinness.
The pizza took a normal length for pizza. The cost seems pretty high but definitely paying for location and ambiance. They call their 12" medium which fooled me especially with the higher price so we probably could have gotten the large since we were really hungry and wouldn't have minded leftovers.
Still, it came packed full of toppings, lots of cheese, abd and a perfect browning on the cheese. I prefer the place near me, Mugs, because their pizza is more flavorful with basil added. But once I thought to add some salt , it was improved. My friend inhaled his, raving about how good it was.

Our waitress, Nina, was excellent! She went above and beyond to make our night out with dinner at Exchequer, before heading to the Chicago Symphony, a relaxing and enjoyable time! Thank you Nina!!
