Great location steps from Symphony center and Fine Arts Cosy interior, welcoming staff. Excellent service with many options on menu Enjoyed vegetarian thin pizza with Guiness on tap Would absolutely return.

Had the chili. Could not finish in the Top 3 of a high school football chili contest. Plain ground beef. No real spice. Two pieces of Kraft American melted on top. Worst $8 I've spent in a while. Ordered a 10” crispy crust pizza. Also below Chicago standards. No city purveys Italian sausage like Chicago. They managed to find a mediocre sausage here. The pizza sauce was pedestrian. The crust not as good as tavern style. Lacked the taste of Neapolitan. Go elsewhere.

Friendly serving staff but we felt like the food descriptions on the menu were a bit misleading. I ordered a club sandwich and felt like I was served more of a burger style meal. It was also pretty soggy at the bottom which made it hard to pick up, the whole thing just fell apart. Portion sizes are also huge so would recommend this place if you are starving, otherwise a lot of the food might go to waste.

20 minute wait when there was MANY open tables. Had to ask for a kids menu. Had to send a burger ordered off the kids menu back because it was undercooked.

First time. Loved the old school charm and ambiance as soon as we walked in. Friendly, non-pretentious atmosphere. Server was attentive and friendly and helped us enjoy our experience when we said we weren't in a rush. Food was good. We tried the pizza and Italian beef as those seemed to be previous reviewer favorites. The beef sandwich was good but not what you would expect - more like shaved beef dipped in an Italian seasoning - good, just not what was expected. The Sicilian style personal pan pizza was very good. Good ingredients and cooked perfectly. Delicious. Good pours on the cocktails. Not the greatest selection of bourbons, but a little something for everyone. We arrived early, close to 4:30pm on a Wednesday and it was quiet. By 6:30 the entire place was PACKED - loud and vibrant (might have been an influx of patrons for pre-show activities at the near-by Auditorium theater). Regardless - LOVED the place! Fun start to our evening. We enjoyed the whole experience and certainly will return if our city travels bring us to the south loop again.

Came here as it was highly recommended. Our server Ryan pulled a fast one on my father paying the bill. The tip was already included in the bill for our table but Ryan's fast fingers added another 20% before handing the payment terminal to him only realized it after. Good bar but terrible people working there. Counting on taking advantage of tourists. Should be ashamed of himself

Pleasant setting for a standard Welcoming, and dishes in the end very average. Al Capone pasta does not really taste. Price in the standards.

We were visiting from out of town and got a reservation. Food was good, portions were huge and those that got it loved the French onion soup! Loved the ambiance and even bought the shirt!

Absolutely must try.......I've come here for lunch in the distance past but this time, we were pregaming for a David Byrne show at the Auditorium. The bar was packed, but the dining area was somewhat empty when we came in. Had a large pizza that was surprisingly amazing! A perfect example of a thin crust tavern pizza with a noticeable crunch to the bite. Pair that with a commendable beer list, and the night started off great! What should be noted is that the dining room was packed when we left, and I understand why!
