I always get the polish sausage, deep fried with mustard and onions grilled. The service is fast so be ready to order when it's your turn. I just found out they're no longer open 24 hours, now closing around 1-2am. It's usually crowded at any time. Outdoor waiting in any weather.
Hit up Express Grill on Union Ave around midnight—always a solid 24/7 go-to. I grabbed the classic Maxwell Street Polish with grilled onions & mustard plus a pork chop sandwich, and threw in an order of fries. Sausage was juicy and onions had that perfect char, fries were crispy, and the crew was quick and chill. Classic late-night spot—never disappoints.
I love jew town polishes even though it's not jew town no more. However 2 of the original stands are still there. I love it. Everything I come through the Chi I try to hit them up.
