There were no live fish at the time I visited. Only 4 different types of fish, buffalo & catfish were 2 of the choices - I forget the other kind. The place was dark & uninviting around noon on a 75 degree summer day. This establishment didn't have much else to offer aside from a cooler with can pops, a few boxes of generic spaghetti and tomato paste against a wall and bread crumbs. An elderly gentleman was the only "worker" present who assisted me.

I dine in this lovely spot quite often! This is my favorite place to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot frequently. The food is great, the crew is welcoming and the charge is decent. I like going in this restaurant to have a tasty dinner.

I visited this fish market for the first time on 8/25/18, after talking with a coworker about finding fresh fish. He suggested Duwell’s on Fifth Ave. & Pulaski, but I saw this place, and it was closer.BIG MISTAKE!!!First, they didn’t accept debit or credit cards, there was no signage stating this, so I drove to a nearby atm machine, incurred fees, went back, got my fish that was already bagged and ready to go. The catfish seemed light, but I thought I would weigh it when I got home, paid $32.00 for two catfish! It weighed at about 4 pounds, and I paid $3.99 a pound, totaling $32.00, ok! Tried to reach store by phone, while in my car, and still in the area, no one answered, at 10:30 am, ok!Cleaned and cooked the fish (catfish and buffalo), both were mushy, the buffalo, completely, and catfish, some pieces more or less than other pieces.BOTTOM LINE, VERY DISAPPOINTING VISIT, PURCHASE, AND WASTE OF MONEY!I will try Duwell’s, where I was initially supposed to go!!!Maybe their cooked fish is the best deal at Fair Deal?
Excellent Friendly service!

My food was cooked fresh after I ordered it. Hot and exactly what I wanted. Not a long wait especially when called ahead
Good quality for catfish and large buffalo fish. Can only pay with cash!
Great fish.
