Fairgrounds Craft Coffee and Tea

My cold brew had too much ICE in it, not enough coffee. I'm waiting for Fairgrounds to publicly address why that is the case.

the matcha is not very good. very light and very sweet. so if you’re looking for matcha look somewhere else. but my friend got coffee and it was good.

Pretty cool spot in the Chicago Athletic Association on S Michigan. Service was slow…even on a rainy Sunday afternoon. About 6 seats in the place, so maybe best for take out coffee. Espresso taste was not good. Shot was over extracted and tasted burnt

Waited 20 minutes after payment. Apparently the coffee machine was broken and they didn't bother to let us know if we can to change our order. On the positive note they were able to offer a mug

Staff was very unfriendly. I even smiled and asked how she was doing. No response, other than a glare. I ordered my sandwich and coffee in which they were out of the sandwich. I asked for a refund. She seemed upset that I wanted the coffee refunded too... I mean I need to go somewhere else and will just get coffee there. I get sometimes they are out of inventory... but at least be a bit pleasant.

Got the on tap cold brew. It was good, I didn't wait, they filled the cup all the way up. No complaints. Not a lot of seating but I wanted to go so not an issue.

Ordered a simple coffee. Messed the order up by not making it while I waited for 10 min.

Fairgrounds Coffee has super nice staff and a cool vibe, but the drinks just didn’t hit. Our iced chai, honey lavender latte, matcha, and Italian soda all tasted kind of watery and flat. Loved the service, though — everyone was friendly and welcoming.

Got the banana sticky dates shaken espresso and it was not the best. Granted I’m pretty sure that’s on my part since I should have just got it in latte form. Will try again

I popped into the athletic club Fairgrounds to snag a coffee and take a meeting.

Key, the cashier, was friendly and helpful. Both with ordering and getting myself setup on Wi-Fi for client meetings.

Would definitely come back!
