Hexe pour over wasn’t bad. Service was decent. Cup was terrible.

Music is loud and agitating, food was the worst I have ever eaten .. I didn't know one could fail croissants... And the bread roll with cheese and some type of herbs taste like it had gone stale... Coffee took more than 20 min but tasted pretty good

My wife and I just flew in from out of town to stay at Chicago Athletic Association. After ordering our coffee, we stepped back for the next customer. The man behind the counter immediately asked if he was a guest at the hotel to which he replied “no”. As I listened, I wondered why he didn’t ask us that same question? I googled to see what I presumed was the case which is that guests at the hotel receive a discount. I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to him that we could be guests (let’s just say I didn’t look like the guy after me). My first experience in Chicago and I’m discriminated against by the first customer service person I come in contact with. Rest assured, I’ll go somewhere else for coffee the rest of my stay

We appreciate the care and craft of good coffee, but given its location (hotel lobby), it would be nice to have a quicker coffee option.

My wife and I woke up early to watch the sunrise, and she wanted to get a drip coffee beforehand and to our dismay, they don’t have drip coffee.

We were the only ones in the cafe but it still took 5+ minutes, and we were on a time crunch.

Very good drip coffee. Easy to find. Inside the CHICAGO Athletic Club entrance and in the right hand corner. Cozy place. You will find it is comparable to other coffee cafes. Enjoy. Support small businesses.

They have premade food with allergen information which is nice, but overall not a safe place if you have a severe nut allergy. The cashier told me to avoid the brewed drinks completely though they do have bottled soda/juice to kind of make up for it.

The workers here are great. The coffee is alright. The bad thing about this place is the done deaf lazy manager who sits in the corner pretending to work and shuffle papers around. All the while the baristas are busting their backside making drinks, trying to stock, attending to customers needs, trying to put away huge orders. Again while Ashley sits in the corner and old lady's tripping on boxes and falling to the floor and being taken away by an ambulance. Please! I encourage everyone to take their money elsewhere! Take your business somewhere where the employees are treated better!

Disappointed with this one :( Paid about $7.50 for a hot pumpkin latte with oat milk — was handed to me at room temperature :/ the coffee had a sour, earthy taste — maybe their pumpkin sauce went bad? I’d save your money and go to Dollop across the street which is always awesome!

anymore the only defense someone has when treated rudely at a establishment is to write a skating review. Consider this as escaping review. These people are rude, uninformative, and to be honest their coffees not that great. All three people i encountered were extremely rude and unapologetic. I didn’t get what i ordered. “We are only human. We will try to get you what you ordered next time you come in.”. Really? Good luck seeing me again. Hard pass! Walk a few doors down for better service and coffee. To the owners: the three employees who are working October 12 at 8 AM in the morning are ruining your business.

The matcha was delicious with almond milk! Highly recommended

Experience was typical with decent quality coffee, except for the fact that I had to wait almost five minutes to order while the cashier applied makeup at the register, facing customers but not assisting or even acknowledging. Definitely a new experience at least!
