Too loud. Hidden "inflation" fees. As if eating out isn't already insanely expensive and tip culture.... here is a random inflation fee because this restaurant owner is an infant.

They charge a hidden "inflation fee" instead of just raising their prices where you can see it. Dishonest business practice.

Will charge fees they will happily remove like "inflation fee". Here's a tip, just price your menu accordingly. Not that hard and won't come off as a scam.

Fantastic service and food. Their cheese curds and cocktails are particularly good. I have not had poor dining experience here yet.I have to knock off a star for the 3% "inflation fee". It's the only part of my meal that left a bad taste in my mouth.
Favorite cheese curds. Better and cozy than other locations.

Hadn't been here in like five years I want to say and it was much better than I remembered. Highly recommend. Very nice enclosed patio.

It even has burning water very similar to our cachaça! You can even make Caipirinha (100ml cachaça + a Thai lemon cut into slices and macerated + a tablespoon of sugar + ice if desired)

It's a nice local spot, but nothing was special. We were there for brunch. I ordered the shakshuka and my partner got the crab Benedict. We shared both. The shakshuka base was good - nice flavors, cooked well, etc. the egg was not seasoned at all, and you could tell even when I immersed it in the base. The crab Benedict tasted more like tuna from a cam than crab from the sea. Neither of us finished more than half our plates. The coffee was great. Our server was very attentive. The only small knock here was she almost always dropped the coffee as it poured. That was super minor, though.I'd probably go back, but only because it's right down the street. Despite it's Google rating, I wouldn't plan a trip here if you live outside of Lakeview.

Take the time to visit this place! Amazing cocktails, like the Bariesta's Manhattan, Smoked Sazarach and The Brown Dog Old Fashion (made by Justin and Jimmy - you guys rock!!), and fabulous food. I highly recommend getting French fries as your side (or as an extra they are perfect). I had the green salad and my husband had the bone in crispy pork chop. I believe that everything has to be just as delicious.

The server was wonderful - this review is not a reflection of that. We originally had a table for three, but one was sick, so we ended up at a 2 top. Fine. This table was likely squeezed in for the busy weekend and was narrower than my shoulders. My dad and I (6'5" and 6') were definitely a tight fit. There was also a lot of foot traffic in this area due to it being right by the bathroom. Lastly, the decay of transparency in pricing by placing an "inflation" fee on the final bill. This can be removed if you ask - but why would anyone want to pay an "optional" fee in the first place? Why not also add a receipt line item for the building's rent? Water bill? Dish soap for the kitchen? Raise the price of the food and be honest from the start. I don't think we will be back, despite the good location (rooftop might be open soon) and good food.Edit: this was meant for the Damen location, not the Wellington.

The chicken sandwich was really juicy and crispy with great pickles. They put a slab of cheese over the grilled cheese to keep it from getting soggy and the soup was delicious and this is coming from someone that doesn't like tomato soup. Our waitress was excellent. Very helpful and provided recommendations when needed. However, do not do the outdoor seating if the temp is below 60° you will be cold.

The food was fantastic and original. The service was great. I had the seasonal corn beef sandwich and it was very good.
