I love this place! Whenever we have a staff lunch or staff meeting Firenze is always our go to. Everyone on my staff has their favorite sandwich. There is something for everyone and the bread is out of this world! Can't recommend this place enough!

I have to say, I am extremely impressed with Firenze’s customer service—they have gone above and beyond in this regard. There was a day some time ago where I ordered lunch here, but had my order canceled because the booth was moving but didn’t know.I thought nothing else of it, but a few months later, someone from their team messaged me about my canceled order and wanted to make things right. They offered to cater sandwiches for me and my coworkers which is the best customer service I have ever experienced and the food was amazing!Cannot say enough good things about Firenze and their support.

The spicy soppressata is one of the best sandwiches in Chicago.

A little stall selling Italian sandwiches inside of a train station building. I got their prosciutto truffle sandwich, their bread was nicely toasted, warm, and crispy on the outside. Very generous portion of cheese and meat. Staff was friendly. Would come here again.

Exactly what you expect from an Italian sandwich like this. It was good. I gave it 4 stars because it’s pretty odd they’re using commercially made bel gioioso ricotta instead of making it in house since the restaurant bills itself as being fresh. Ricotta is pretty easy to make so not sure why it isn’t fresh.

The food container for the Firenze Salad has become so small. It’s almost half the size it used be. Further, it used to come with these crispy pita crouton like this and a slice of bread. That is no longer the case. The salad is missing a crunch without the pita. For $11.60 + tax and tip, it’s asking a lot for what you get.The ambiance is quick , food court/plaza vibes.

I stopped by a random company meeting over the summer that had chosen Firenze for catering and I could not be happier that I did. It was my first time having their sandwiches and I have been a fan since. I truly think these are the best Italian sandwiches I have ever had and certainly the best in the Loop. The bread is outstanding and brings the flavors of the sandwich to the next level. I don't even have a favorite because everything I've tried has been AMAZING. I continue to use their catering services for work and have only received positive reviews from my coworkers. You will not regret ordering anything from their menu!

I ordered the spicy soppressata sandwich for lunch. The ingredients were fresh and I loved the bite of spiciness followed by the creaminess of the ricotta spread. The flavors really melded well. Reminded me of the amazing flatbread sandwiches in Florence. While not as good as the ones over there, still a good substitution over catching a 12 hour flight to Italy! Will have to return again to try more sandwiches.

Someday we'd like to visit Italy. Lately we've been reading about Italy. Apparently one of the most popular sandwiches in Italy is this sandwich on this Schiacciata bread. Schiacciata is similar to focaccia but it seems to be lighter and more airy. When I heard there was a location in Chicago, we had to try it out. Firenze Italian Street Food is located inside the Chicago French Market. We ordered a selection of their sandwiches. While we liked them all, our favorites were the Caprese the Truffle Prosciutto. The Roasted Veggie was a close second. The Caprese has fresh mozzarella, pesto, roasted eggplant and a balsamic glaze. It's savory and a little sweet. The Truffle Prosciutto was a bit of a surprise. The prosciutto was sliced thicker which gave the sandwich a meatier bite. This sandwich also had creamy fresh mozzarella and a sweet and tart balsamic glaze. The savory and sweet really worked well with this sandwich. We enjoyed the selection of sandwiches. Chances are very good that we'll get sandwiches from Firenze again before we get to try them in Italy, which is just fine by me.

Gave this place a try based on the reviews but was very disappointed at the Chicken sandwich I got. Was hard, dry and looked pathetic with barely any meat inside. I would not eat here again.

Best sandwiches in the city. The truffle prosciutto and the hot honey soppressata sandwiches are so good. This is my go to lunch meal on Friday’s as a treat to finish my work week. Definitely try this place.

The spicy soppressata is the one sandwich that is advertised with a photo at the front of their stand. The picture shows a thick layer of creamy ricotta. The reality, there’s absolutely no ricotta to be seen. The sandwich is therefore extremely dry and leaves you absolutely craving the creamy ricotta. The rest of the ingredients are fine, the soppressata is good, not enough arugula. Just a disappointment, had the potential to be a new favorite sandwich spot.
