I love the margaritas and that you can get them take away in a bottle to go but the food itself is not the best. I love tacos and i’ve tried the chicken, steak, and pork and every time i’m disappointed. The meat quality could be better and i’ve definitely made better tacos at home. The chips were fresh but nothing special. Way too overpriced for the food quality to be so bad. I understand that the margaritas are almost $10 each because they’re frozen and pretty strong but still a bit pricy for mid mexican food. I’d go back for the margaritas but that’s it.

Disclaimer - the food (when you get it in house) is good - HOWEVER FOR DELIVERY THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE , we got a wrong UberEats delivery, told the driver who supposedly went to the previous pick-up. After NO communication from the driver (after more than an hour), we get an automated cancelation from the restaurant. When we called the location over and over and over again, we kept getting hung up on. Completely unacceptable.

I like their food. I have been going there on and off for several years. Tacos have always been excellent. Their location is interesting under the "L" tracks and they have two rooms one f usually quiet and a great place to chill and eat in a quiet spot.

Service was great, but the food itself was pretty flavorless. I’ve walked past this place many times and thought it might be decent as there are lots of people in here often and it’s a cute location, but the 3 tacos I ordered and the refried beans were just middling at best. Certainly not Bad but very bland compared to what I’m used to for Mexican food in this city. I’ll reiterate though that service was very friendly and fast! Just not much flavor going on here sadly.

Online ordered. Multiple missing items. Food was very bland. I'd go as far to say it was one of the worst burritos I've ever had.
Bland food seems to be a common thing among restaurants in Chicago.

Tried this place for the second time to allow them to redeem themselves from my first experience. Unfortunately, I was still disappointed. I ordered a steak burrito with a side of rice and beans at approximately 3:38 through their website. I came to pick up my food at 3:45 & to my surprise, my order was already ready for pick up. I bit into my burrito once I got in the car. The burrito was cold, not warm, not room temperature but cold. The rice and beans were cold as well. The rice was also hard like it was a day old, it certainly wasn’t fresh. Will stick to Edgewater tacos from now on. For a place that charges $6 a taco, you would think that the quality of food would be better.

Flaco is a decent neighborhood go to. Cool joint but the food quality keeps going down for me here. Staff is always friendly but these raw tasting corn shells and almost cold tacos when I last dined in was a let down. Vegetarian bowel very dry and no flavor, It's pretty pricey here so I just feel the quality control could get better. I use to like this place.

I like Flacos, but didn't have a very nice time on my last visit.

I've hesitated making a comment, bc it's just the way Flacos is... But decided I should say something.

I ordered Nachos, and felt like I'd paid a premium at $16 (including +4 for meat). I was eating in, and really bothered that they were served in a to-go box. It was very awkward to eat out of, and other entrees were being served in baskets and trays. I expect nachos to go in the broiler to melt cheese and other toppings, so they'd clearly been transfered to this box. Also, I doubt there was more than an oz of meat for the cost.

I found the people who gave me service quite nice, but the overall service of the place to be subpar. I wanted to eat in the main room, but a 4-top was using the only single table open as a place for their empty Margherita glasses. I went to their second space, and the only empty 2-top had back packs and empty glasses on it from a group at the long table. I could have said something, but didn't want to make a fuss. Ended up sitting at a big table by myself eating from a to-go box.

It just wasn't a pleasant experience. Definitely not worth $20 nachos (after tax/tip).

I've worked in places with a similar vibe... Above average food, order at the counter, limited seating. They always had someone minding the dining room. Bussing tables, keeping diners contained to their space, checking in with diners about their meal... And they never served a dine-in patron in a to-go box.

All that could be forgiven if the nachos were amazing... But I've had better nachos and dining experience for $3 at the Taco Bell by Loyola.

My take away was 2 things.. The MOD was focused on something other than dining room for the hour I was there, and I doubt the chef or the person making nachos ever eats them.

I spent $30 for nachos and a drink, and left feeling like I'd been in a college dining hall. The food here has always been above average, but it seems like management needs a wake-up call.

Food was mid, salsas were not spicy. If you Mexican just stick with 26th street. More of a space for white people.?
