Had a server Jackson who was awesome and friendly. Very hospitable and hooked us up with white rice and butter when the kiddo was too picky for her kids bowl.
Haven't been to flattop in about 10 years, surprisingly their prices haven't increased as rapidly as the inflation index. So I was pleasantly surprised by the bill at the end.
Overall the food and sauces are as good as they ever were. For me there were some new options for proteins, sauces, and preparations as well.
Had a great dine in experience about 5 min from Millennium Park. 5 stars.
Dietary restrictions: Can prepare all foods with allergy restrictions.
Kid-friendliness: Can make a bowl specifically including things the kids will eat.

Was there Saturday night 10/5
The place was FILTHY. the bathrooms were FILTHY. bloody tampons laying around, clogged toilets, no TP. Tables were sticky, menus were falling apart, the bar with veggies was disheveled, there was no rice and the noodles were hard.
My steak was fatty and gross. I had 2 ice cubes floating in my thick lemonade. The lighting was terrible and there was no alcohol being served. THIS WAS NOT THE DATE NIGHT VIBE.
My partner actually proceeded to vomit mounds of barf outside the restaurant the second we walked out and I am not kidding. STAY AWAY from this place. We were heading to the Chicago theater after for a show, grateful she felt better after we left. Gave us both the major ICK. I’d give zero stars if I could. The person who waited our table was fine.
Parking: No parking. Busy street.
Wheelchair accessibility: None. Stairs to enter.

Waited over one hour until I got a mail saying that my order was cancelled
Walked in an it was busy, but we were seated right away. They were a bit understaffed but our waitress was awesome. Got our order in right away. Came to check on us frequently. Would very much recommend this place!!!

The food was great. You can create your own dish with exactly what you want and they cook it on the grill. Good vegetables and very kind staff.
Vegetarian options: Many vegetables
Kid-friendliness: They have a Kids Create Your Own Bowl. When children can have their own specific choice they are more likely to eat healthy.

Love their bowl. A lot of choices for 20 bucks (cheaper on weekdays even). I come here every time I'm in Chicago.
