This is a place that my family and I absolutely Love! The owner treats you like family from the moment you sit down. We’ve been coming here for over seven years and they’ve never changed. We can’t make it there today, but just know we were thinking of y’all! Thank you for your service.Kid-friendliness: My kids love it here!Parking: There’s street parking right outside.

Wow! This was hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten in my life. Walked in, greeted and shown to our table. Really cool space!!

The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. The wine list is great as well! The owner came to our table a couple of times and answered questions and had some good recommendations.

The drinks were delicious, highly recommend the picante and the espresso infused tequila. Everything we had for appetizer and dinner was phenomenal.

The reason that my bill was almost $50 it's because I was greedy and tried to eat everything.. I had wings and French fries delicious, I had turkey with dressing macaroni and cheese delicious delicious, I had cabbage, candies yams, peach cobbler, cornbread muffins. I had a taste of the collard greens and and green fried tomatoes it was delicious. I also had pound cake. If you are ever in this neighborhood you have to stop they are hands down the best best sofo place on the Westside of Chicago.

Service = 4 stars, restaurant cleanliness = 4 stars, the desserts = 4 stars, food = 1 star and here's why on the food...a lot of the food was doctored up canned, frozen or boxed (corn muffins), in my opinion. I was really wanting to like it based on good prior yelper reviews, but its too far from the seasonings of the old fashioned southern soul food I'm used to. I wish them success though, try it you may like it.

The name speaks for itself, the food is excellent and very flavorful and always served hot, nothing out of a can here, trust me I have recomended Flavors Southern Cooking to all of my friends and family. The owner and staff are the most pleasant and gracious and keeps the restaurant a nice and clean atmosphere. My Chicago Ave family and I will definitely keep coming back.

Dang good southern food! The location is sketchy but it's so worth it! the food is some of the best I've had in Chicago! The catfish, mac and cheese, collard greens, green beans, and the peach cobbler!!! The chicken! If you've ever eaten real southern food and need your fix, this is the place that will hit the spot!!

There are not enough POSITIVE words to explain how I feel towards Flavor's. From the initial call, to the follow-up of my Order, to the delivery, to the set-up and then the finale...THE FOOD! A-MA-ZING!!! The Owner, PROFESSIONAL. Her staff, PROFESSIONAL. The Food - Great! My job hosted a Juneteenth Celebration and it was my task to order the food for 75 people. I was given several restaurants to look at and none of them opened before 4pm (not good). I Googled "black-owned restaurants near me". Flavor's was #4. I called...Jackie answered..."and the rest is history".If you are looking for a GREAT Black-Owned restaurant, Flavor's is the place to go!Thank you so much, Jackie...everyone LOVED the food.

The fried catfish was crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. This place is legit. Delicious!

Food was incredibly delicious. I hate to complain, just need a clearer menu of sides, although they had the meats listed on the board. Will definitely be back!

Visiting Chicago from Columbus Ohio and we wanted some real soul food. I tried many dishes and I liked everything. My favorites were the potato salad, yams, fried chicken, greens and the Mac n cheese. Ribs and peach cobbler were good also. I was raised on good southern cooking! Will go back again. If you're traveling from out of town I would take a trip to this local eatery! The Chef and server were really nice. Met some nice folks while eating.
