Ordered via DoorDash because it looked amazing, waited an hour to then be notified the order was cancelled as the bakery is suddenly closed (at 11.30 am on a Friday).
Bread is AMAZING and very affordable compared to other bread bakeries in the city. I’ve been looking for some good sourdough near little village and stumbled upon this gem. Its very hidden away in an industrial area so it can be a bit confusing to get to (at least for a dumdum like me) but they were more than happy to help guide me to the correct place. They even gave me a focaccia on the house for the trouble, which wasn't even their fault. The tomato focaccia is seriously HEAVENLY warmed up! I cant wait to try the Kalamata! I would love to gate-keep this place for myself but they are making such great quality products, they deserve to blow up. Cant wait to see what the future holds for this bakery!
Absolutely the best bread in Chicago! Id know, over 40years I've tried them all. NO preservatives and real deal sourdough. This is a bread bakery you can trust has immense pride in their work. Truly artisan. The flavor of beauty!
Ordered baguette, sourdough, and challah. All are very good!
