In my opinion, the best place for Japanese food in town! Nice place, excellent food and great service! Definitely 5 stars!
I got sick from eating here. I didn't even eat any raw fish, just fish eggs on my california roll. My best guess is they don't manage their meal prep area well and it got cross contamination. Never been sick from a california roll in my life, but I guess that's why they put an * next to it...ughhh.

Food was overall not bad. They have a "hospitality fee" for 3.5% included in the bill.
Great food and drinks.

Friends sushi is probably one of the best sushi places here in town. The sushi is always really good it's not overpriced great portions great service. I always have a great time every single time I go here.
We wanted a quiet place for a date night and some good sushi. We were disappointed on both counts. The fish was fresh, but the sushi was inexpertly rolled and prepared. The cocktails (we had a Moscow Mule and a gin cocktail) were both way too sweet. The tempura was greasy and the agedashi tofu was the worst I've ever had (cold in the center, not crispy, made without care, the dashi tasted mostly of soy sauce). The hamachi crudo was quite good, but not good enough to make up for all the disappointments. Probably won't go back. Oh, and the music was TERRIBLE covers of pop songs that was pretty loud and disruptive to conversation.
We had a great time! Food was brought out fast and the recommendations were excellent. Cute atmosphere, and drinks were great. Would definitely go back again
Good sushi. Friendly staff. The 3.5% hospitality fee is where they lose 2 stars. Don't try to be sneaky... if you need to raise the menu prices, raise them.
Restaurantji Recommends
Overall: Tucked away but shouldn't be overlooked, a great sushi option downtown.
The good: Cozy seating, low lighting, and low ceilings make you feel welcome and at home. The staff (and restaurant as a whole) were very accommodating for our 1 year old, who loved the atmosphere and friendly service. They also helped us store our stroller and baby supplies, even with the limited space. The sushi was good with some interesting options that you may not see at other spots. We also enjoy the flavorful mochi bites for dessert.
The not-so-good: Not much! There may be higher quality sushi around town, but the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great.

Kinda expensive but it's in the loop so you can expect over pricing downtown at all restaurants.

Entered by accident and very happy we did. Very much enjoyed everything about this place. They were polite from the moment we entered the door everything thing on every plate was delicious nothing to complain about, same with cocktails. Definitely will return and bring friends.

LOVE THIS PLACE.
This is me and my fiancée favorite sushi place. We have been here 6 times and have always been taken care of. We live in Aurora and drive out just to eat here.
Prices have gone up with inflation, but the quality has stayed the same (amazing).
Will be back.
