I've tired almost everything on their menu and have yet to be disappointed. The wings are easily my favorite.

Definitely got my money's worth. They DID NOT cheap out when it came to the amount of meat I was served. Overall the portions are huge and the food is flavorful. It wasn't anything outstanding but will definitely consider stopping by again.Vegetarian options: Veggie frite is an optionParking: Right outside of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: No step just small ramp

I ordered the J*** Salmon and added Shrimp to it. The salmon and shrimp were seasoned well. It was fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be going back.

I like their food but their cashier was rude. Very short, didn't really want to answer my questions. I traveled a ways to eat lunch here and that was just such a turn off. Customer service is just as important as the taste of the food. Not sure how she's already rude considering the fact that they JUST opened for the day 6 minutes ago. The day has just begun.

I've seen this spot posted several times, so I decided to give it try. The setting is fairly basic, few seats and no public restroom. Pretty much just order, eat, and go. The food isn't bad I just think I'll order something different next time. I will say the sauce was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it was decent none the less. I'd say it's worth stopping by if you're in the area.

I'm mad it took me so long to leave a review, I thought I had left one a while ago. Bomb, delicious, great portions, good service, you need to eat here lol. If you like French fries you can't go wrong. I actually came here on Juneteenth last year and it was just perfect, black owned business in a black neighborhood on a Black American holiday- just great. The food is affordable, fresh, delicious and generous portions. I had the smoked wings and my girlfriends all got the salmon. I didn't try theirs because I don't like salmon but that was a huge piece of fish and the smoked wings were fried nice and hard and the bbq sauce was good- different cuz I usually like sweeter sauces but I really enjoyed it. Also met the owner that day cuz he was also working which I appreciated and he was a great guy and we chatted for a while after they closed and I def recommend everyone check it out. It's inside seating but the place is smaller so heads up.

I am giving this review a 3 star because it’s BHM and because I am a long time supporter. BUT I will no longer support because things are no longer the same. The quality of food is no where near where it used to be. Friistyle now intentionally gives WAY less sauce so you’re almost obligated to buy extra sauce. On top of significantly reducing the portion sizes while increasing the prices. I get raises prices but not while diminishing quality. All the love in the food is gone, I don’t know what happened.

First glance beautiful presentation! First bite was the creamy sauce with the fries everything you would expect from a Alfredo sauce?I would recommend this.

I love the food in here and I visited the place for the first time after not visiting for a while and the last time I was in here was about when the pandemic hasn’t started. I really love their food and I’ve been missing it for a while now that is why I was so happy when I was able to visit it. I did not have much time so I ordered food to go. I was already a drive away from the place when I realized that the staff forgot to give me a fork and I ended up eating the wing frite that I ordered using my hands. It was literally messy but the food was good the wings is a little bit dry but thanks to the sauce it definitely made it tastes really good while the fries is still hot but the fries on the top are kind of soggy but the fries on the bottom are still crispy. Nonetheless, much of the fries are crispy than those that are soggy. I enjoyed the food and I will definitely visit again and I hope they made everything correctly by then. It is a good thing that I had a wet wipes with me and alcohol to clean my very messy hands.

Tried Friistyle recently after seeing the establishment featured on a local food show. Located in historic Bronzeville, they specialize in what the name says, fries. I ordered the wing frite and my partner got the Caribbean j*** shrimp frite. Come hungry because their portions are generous! We got an order of their plain pomme frites so we could try their additional sauces and we wondered if we'd get enough food and we got so much food! Everything was hot, seasoned well and sauced perfectly. The house made aioli was delicious and the wings were a generous size, which is hard to come by lately. They were a little under seasoned for my liking, but still tasted great with the boughetto sauce. I am someone who loves dipping sauces, so a restaurant that specializes in fries and dipping sauce is a great match for me. However, if you're someone who orders sauce in the side of your meal more often than not, or tend to enjoy dipping rather than slathered food, this might not be your jam. My partner and I ordered ahead which I recommend if you don't live nearby. Their texting system is great at communicating when your order will be ready so you can time your pickup perfectly! There's also some seating inside if you'd rather sit and enjoy your food there. Fries are best hot after all! Definitely give this Black owned spot a try!

Located in Bronzeville, Friistyle is serving up a unique style of Belgium like Pomme Frites! There's nothing else quite like it in Chicago, and believe me, everything is DELICIOUS. Here's what I tried out: Italian Beef Frite: Chicago style Italian beef, Asiago, giardiniera cheese sauce and au jus (my favorite - it was packed with flavor) Wing Frite: smoked chicken wings tossed and coated with boughetto sauce Chicken Alfredo Frite: grilled chicken, creamy Alfredo sauce, and Parmesan cheese

I had the lamb frites and my friend had the salmon. Both were amazing in their own right. Love the atmosphere when we dined in and definitely plan to return next time we're in the Chi.
