I celebrated my birthday with the full animal experience/ trio experience. We had chicken, lamb and short ribs.

I love wild game. Venison is my favorite meat when prepared, and that it was. I order for pickup. Philly venison sandwich and Mac and cheese the Mac & cheese was good as well they forgot to put the meat in it. However they stayed open until I arrived which was 20 minutes after closing time and my food was ready to go.✌️

Great food and drinks, and great atmosphere. I would go again solely for the burnt ends mac and cheese, and the mango margarita. 10/10

Came here for restaurant week, but I don't think anyone in our party actually ordered from the RW menu after seeing what else they had to offer. The Lamb Ribs were excellent, service was friendly attentive but not over bearing.

Stopped by Frontier for brunch with a friend while I was in town.

I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, and my friend got the Shrimp & Grits. Both dishes were delicious, and I’d recommend either. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was HUGE and very filling—I just wish it had a bit more heat.

Overall, we had a great time catching up. The restaurant was calm and not too loud, the service was excellent, and our server (I wish I remembered his name) was personable and engaging.

I’d definitely eat here again.

Great food for brunch. Crab cakes were great along with drinks. Service was friendly and prompt. Great overall

So good, and the food comes out fast too. We started with charred wild octopus, and then had the elk shank and the crab stuffed branzino with their duck dirty rice, and brussel sprouts with lamb bacon. Everything was a huge portion and so freaking good! If you're not that adventurous, just get a fried chicken sandwich, or a burger and fries! I'm absolutely coming back.

As always, the food and service were amazing. The atmosphere during the Saints game was top-notch.

From the moment you step inside, the decor is absolutely stunning—opulent, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The aroma wafting through the restaurant is mouth-watering, setting high expectations before the first bite ever arrives. The ambience alone is magnificent and creates an experience that feels special.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the promise of the space.

To begin with, the service itself was not the issue. Our waitress was impeccable—friendly, attentive, asked thoughtful questions, and made helpful suggestions. She also explained that dishes would be brought out as they were prepared, which we appreciated, especially since we prefer our food hot.

However, that expectation wasn’t met.

The crab and shrimp cakes arrived lukewarm, not hot, and it was evident they were not freshly prepared. The texture leaned heavily on filler—more breadcrumbs or binding than actual crab and shrimp. Unfortunately, they were not enjoyable.

I ordered the branzino (stuffed bass with crab), and again, the dish arrived not hot and clearly not freshly cooked. The experience was deeply disappointing, to the point that it bordered on unpleasant.

We also ordered a side of macaroni and cheese topped with burnt ends. The mac and cheese itself was piping hot and appeared freshly made, which was appreciated. However, the burnt ends on top tasted old and lacked freshness, which took away from the dish.

In summary, the ambience and decor were outstanding, and the service was excellent, but the food delivery and freshness fell far short. With such a beautiful setting and strong front-of-house service, it’s unfortunate that the kitchen execution did not match the experience the space promises.

A table of 5 adults shared the land and sea with dirty rice, burnt ends mac and cheese, fries, 6 oysters, and gator bites. That was plenty of food! Many different tastes for sure! Oh also had the chocolate cake and strawberry banana pudding.

Place was super cool but food and service was so so. Seems like the sale is that your eating wild meats and really the food was more so over seasoned to taste like it all could be hamburger and hot dogs, fried, SALTED, and smothered with Sriracha mayo sauce.

I met up with some fellow New Orleanian for Frontier's Saints game watch on Sunday, and it was AWESOME! The Cajun food and Abita beers were much appreciated, and the brass band's performances during commercial breaks were a true highlight. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a taste of New Orleans in Chicago. Our server was friendly and attentive- overall an excellent experience!
