Food was amazing! We got gator strips, elk, lamb ribs and fish stuffed with crab. Simply delicious! Drinks were cowboy punch and a New Orleans old fashion. Fantastic!!

I just love Frontier, they always play great music, their food is awesome, you get great portions, and unique dishes. In a city where it's easy to never go to the same place twice, Frontier is a restaurant you crave again and again.

We attended the Smoke Sessions featuring Dhuann Bbq/Chef Sheal Patel. Four courses with cocktail pairings! The food was excellent and the pairings were interesting. The timing wasn't perfect -- we were done with our first cocktail before the first course came out. There was a change in the food order that wasn't announced so that pairing was off. This didn't detract from the food quality. Service was solid. Thanks, Frontier!

Great dining at Frontier! Our server, Giovani, was so knowledgeable about whole animal preparation! What animals roast best to diners personal tastes. He made great cocktail recommendations as well. Caesar salad had light tasty dressing;delicious. One dish, Bourbon chicken thighs was a massive portion. The fried chicken sandwich was also split worthy! We sat out on the patio on a beautiful summer evening. Highly recommend this dining experience.

I was using a gift certificate I was giving because Frontier canceled an event I bought tickets to the day of a while back... Came back with my girlfriend to have dinner, ordered the first drink listed on their cocktail menu (Al Pastor Margarita), they didnt have the ingredients , so ordered a beer. Then we got the grilled oysters and the smoked wings as appitizers, the oysters were sandy and overdone and kind fishy tasting. The wings were gummy and underdone and you couldn't eat the entire wing. After both apps not being good and the drink unavailable, we decided to end the meal there and went to a different restaurant for the rest of our dinner. If I hadn't had that gift card I would have complained more but instead we just bailed.

10/10 experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group of 25 guys, and the food came out incredible.

We ordered the XL pig roast with additional sides, and that was way more food than expected. The presentation of the pig is awesome. It comes with three of their own bbq sauces that each are unique and tasty. The honey mustard based bbq sauce was my favorite of the three.

The sides are massive as well. The Mac n cheese is so dense and cheesy. I think one would’ve been enough to feed us but we ordered three of them.

Overall this was a fantastic experience. Thank you to the staff and the ownership. You guys made our trip to Chicago that much better.

The food was great. We tried a little bit of everything, and the standout dishes were definitely the gator bites, octopus, and lamb. The white espresso martini paired with the banana bread pudding? Chef’s kiss. I’d honestly want to come back just for that. However, I wasn’t expecting how quickly the drink prices could add up.

Things to Avoid:
1. The seating by the alley was a bit rough—the fan kept blowing strong air our way, and at times it smelled like the trash nearby.
2. Just ask for regular drinks nothing special like the drink being Up or whatever you will keep seeing 4+ like if you were playing UNO.

We booked a last-minute brunch reservation at Frontier, and luckily they had plenty of open tables. We each got individual meals, but overall we weren’t too impressed with the food. I had the French toast, which was decent, but if I’d gotten all the toppings, it would’ve been too much for me. The lamb bacon was tasty but overly greasy, so a little less oil would be great. The scrambled eggs were solid but nothing extraordinary. We also tried the bottomless mimosas, and unfortunately, the champagne tasted off. We’ve had André Roger Brut before, and this definitely wasn’t right. Even the pineapple juice tasted watered down. On the bright side, the price point was decent.

Looked like a gem online. Slick photos, glowing reviews. In person? Not so much. The vibe and service held up, but the food—heavy, salty, forgettable. Left feeling worse than when we came in. Maybe it was an off night. Maybe not. Either way, in a world where every meal out costs a small fortune, you don’t get a second shot. I won’t be back.

The food was great! Loved the venison sandwich and the gator nuggets. We would skip the burger next time which was a little boring but that's my fault for ordering it. The music was loud in the covered patio area and the music did not really seem to fit with the restaurant theme (I think it was a lot of R&B). I wish the stools in the covered patio had backs on them. My biggest issue was our meals came out at different times for 5 people (two people got their entrees, followed by the remaining three). It was a little awkward but overall the food was great and I would go back again.
