Place was super cool but food and service was so so. Seems like the sale is that your eating wild meats and really the food was more so over seasoned to taste like it all could be hamburger and hot dogs, fried, SALTED, and smothered with Sriracha mayo sauce.

I met up with some fellow New Orleanian for Frontier's Saints game watch on Sunday, and it was AWESOME! The Cajun food and Abita beers were much appreciated, and the brass band's performances during commercial breaks were a true highlight. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a taste of New Orleans in Chicago. Our server was friendly and attentive- overall an excellent experience!

Amazing spot with a cozy, rustic vibe. The menu is adventurous loved the wild game dishes and the smoked carrot salad. Sides are generous and flavorful, and the staff is friendly. Perfect for a fun, memorable meal in Chicago.

Alligator was like chewing rubber, too salty to be palatable, and the rest of the food was meh. Asked for a salted rim on a margarita and the server kept saying the bartender would “slap” him in the face for asking to do that. We left halfway through the appetizer. Great potential, flat on its face.

Overall, it was an okay dining experience. The mushroom fritters, wings, and empanada was good. The hummingbird cake was awesome. The octopus was dreadful. The service was below average. The atmosphere is cool though. Overall, the prices are elevated for what you get. Unless I was invited, I would not go back

This place knows how to grill some meat!! The lamb ribs were so flavorful, tender & juicy! They were falling of the bone! The crab cake was so good! I was impressed!

Went before a show at the UC and the best part was getting street parking right in front. Staff brought the wrong drinks to start with. The empanadas saved the meal as the Wagyu ribs were tepid, grisly and heavy on bone and light on meat. Since we were still hungry, we added in the mushroom appetizer as well and we couldn’t even taste the mushroom. Still not sure there was any in there. Automatically adding in 20% for a tip is garbage as well. Don’t make me take it off.

We ordered the wild boar sliders, crab cakes and gator bites to start. Everything was delicious. We then ordered the land and sea which was enough for the 4 of us. Jess our waitress was engaging and knowledgeable

Best restaurant in Chicago. Most unique menu of n town. Drinks are fantastic and there are always unique and fun events on the calendar. Been here a hundred times and will be going back for another hundred

Great place to have fun witching the Saints game, especially from former natives. As crowded as I've seen it, and experiencing it first hand, they could've used more staff to handle the crowd for drink and food orders. We felt like we were back home.

Not the experience we hoped for, though the manager Aaron did his best to make things right.

Another Saturday date night in the city, and unfortunately, this spot didn’t live up to our expectations. The menu is appealing and the venue itself is beautifully designed — but our experience at the bar fell flat.

From the moment we sat down, the bartender made us feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest. No greeting, no engagement, and a noticeable attitude that made the entire interaction uncomfortable. The place wasn’t busy, yet it took quite a while for him to check in with us. I asked a couple of simple questions about the whiskey selection, being a fan myself, and his responses were not only unhelpful but delivered with clear disinterest and zero knowledge.

Coming from a background in hospitality and customer service myself, I know how important it is to have front-of-house staff — especially bartenders — who are personable and welcoming.

My partner shared our concerns with the manager, Aaron , who handled it professionally and respectfully, which we truly appreciated.

We’re not ones to write a place off after one bad experience, so we’ll give it another shot. Hopefully, next time lives up to the promise the space and menu suggest.

Great atmosphere, feels like you’re in NOLA. The food, however, did not.
