Fry the Coop didn’t disappoint. Christy’s customer service was amazing. We drove 4 hours for this experience❤️🔥👌🏻

Five stars all around. I ordered the Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich in Medium sauce. The meat was a huge chicken breast perfectly lightly fried; the cole slaw was a nice complement to the meat. The Medium sauce was a nice light touch of heat; next time I will try one step hotter. I loved the pillowy bun too.

The two young kids working behind the counter showing half of their butt had really bad attitude they were probably under staff but it’s not my fault, I order 6 different Nashville sandwiches and they had the all mislabeled and did were seasoned the way I asked for !

The place was empty when we walked in. We ordered our sandwiches and we were told they didn't have fries. Then the folks who ordered 5 minutes after us got fries...
And the sandwiches were not spicy this time. Last time I was there, the heat level was awesome.
This place has been one of my favorites for a long time.

14 dollars incl. tax and tip for a dry, bland chicken sandwich….. i ordered medium hot which purportedly uses habanero and maybe there was a mixup in the kitchen but i detected zero heat. staff seemed unhappy to see us. there are other options in the neighborhood and they don’t use culture-war hysteria about seed oils to market themselves

I mean it’s easy. Best chicken sandwhich in Chicago is at The Coop. Lots of new places popping up but nothing compares to the coop. If you want the best consistent chicken sandy in the city; Fry the coop. Maybe Jollibee if you wanna save a few mins and eat a bucket too. The Coop is the Chicago go to without a doubt.

nashville chicken sandwich was good but i also ordered a potato salad and got coleslaw instead. Ordered takeout so didn’t realize until we got home :(

Loved it! They have a good selection of different heats and the sandwich was really juicy. Inside is a little smaller so if it’s peak times there may be limited seating.

Donut sandwich was nasty. Tasted bad. Weird texture. Weak portion. Overpriced.

$13 for a tiny piece of chicken and a soggy donut. Charging that much for basically half a tender is still making me mad to think about. You could go to Popeye's and get much more equally good chicken for a third of the price. The mac and cheese tasted like Kraft and the fountain drink tasted like the fountain hadn't been cleaned in years. Service was nice but unfortunately doesn't make up for the bad food.
