Cozy coffee shop and roaster in a narrow corner building. Interior is sparse, but what's there is very nice. If they're roasting you'll be able to smell the beans in Milwaukee as you approach.Pastry selection was small, but solid and the drip coffee was one of the best I've had in a while. Definitely going to make a return trip to pick up some beans when I start running low.

This is a coffee shop that is almost there but not quite. They are roasting their own coffee which to me shows interest in offering a quality coffee experience. But the atmosphere is lacking an inviting quality, drapes hang loose over exposed dirty windows, tables and chairs aren’t inviting, etc. The pastries were average to my taste. The person at the register was unhelpful and seemed disinterested. The barista was helpful and pleasant. There were also very few people there mid-Sunday morning. To me that says it’s not quite yet a desirable place to come for people in the neighborhood. One other weird quirk is that you can’t add your own cream - they do it for you. I don’t understand that. Cream is a very personal addition. How can someone else know how much or little I want? We know that Covid has no significant spread by touch so I’m not sure what the concern is. As I said, they are almost a quality coffee shop but not quite. I hope they’ll get there. It has potential.

I’ve been coming here for years! The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are super friendly and chill. There are so many amazing coffee shops to choose from in the Logan Square area and this one is my most consistent place.

Gaslight has some of the best coffee in chicago. Their decaf actually tastes great and makes a great pour over. I miss their caffeinated stuff but that’s on me for quitting caffeine.

Didn't like the drip coffee, employees dismissive of wifi questions & wifi not working for me or the friend I'm working with.Really, it's the drink that is making the experience bad. ?

Loved it! Finally a superb coffee shop with spacious coffee with enough sitting where you don’t feel you’re being rushed to leave your table. We had the latte (beautifully made ??), a drip, and a double shot of espresso (wonderful floral/fruity taste!). I just made some pour over with the beans from Rwanda and oh boy, the most clarity I’ve tasted in years!! We’ll be back for sure!

Place looks nice and has space to do work. Coffee is bad and service is rude. There’s better places in Logan Square than this place.

We're in the independent specialty coffee business too. In Chicago, unfortunately, this means we don't have a lot of time to hang out at other excellent cafés. BUT, whenever we find ourselves in Logan Square we know that Gaslight will not disappoint. It truly is a most excellent café!

Coffee was good, but I was irritated at the service. Cashier who took my order wasn’t writing names or coffee orders on the cups and didn’t tell me where exactly to wait in order to get my coffee. After like 10 min I go over to the other counter and there are 4 unmarked coffee cups sitting there. I ask for my order and the barista says “i don’t know, i made yours awhile ago”. i was like okkkk, so i’m just supposed to guess which one is mine? i have dietary restrictions and can’t have almond milk so it’s not safe to have people do this. i ended up guessing correctly bc my drink was a size small and all the others were size medium, but they could have just labeled the cups to make it easy for customers.

Perfect cup of coffee. Bold, smooth and no bitter after taste. One of the best cups of coffee in the city. Friendly service -though the cashier was as high as a kite. He still made a great cup of coffee.

Had an absolutely delicious cappuccino here! Really, really good. Also had a nice Matcha tea muffin. Good atmosphere with some big windows to look out onto the street.
