I absolutely loved this place. Service was excellent and food was even better. I came here on the recommendation of a friend and this will be my go to place every time I’m back in town. Love the vibe here also.
Wow!!! My taxi driver told me about this place. What a great place to have dinner. Great crowd amazing food. Top notch. Drinks were also very good. Servers were so nice and fast service. They were always around. This place has a history and there is a reason for it. 10 thumbs up. Shout out to our server Juan who has been there for a long long time. Every time I am in town i will definitely have a dinner here.

Good but not quite excellent, with a few caveats.
The check in process was crowded, ambiguous, and slightly uncomfortable. There is no host check-in, just a couple of people walking around with lpads in a crowded bar area. I feel like if I hadn't traversed the crowd to get someone's attention to let them know I was there for my 8 o'clock reservation, they would have let me stand all evening partially in the main entrance doorway and directly behind patrons eating at the bar.
The service was good, but felt just a little off. That's the best way I can describe it. My partner and I were not drinking alcohol but were asked several, SEVERAL times if we wanted some wine or something from the bar. It was borderline pushy at worst, and just weird at best.
The food was good but not great. For all the space they used on the menu telling me how their steaks are sourced from the best of the best, my filet had a few tough, low quality spots.
It was nice to go to one of the city's iconic places. I ate all my food and I felt like the price was reasonable. I might go back someday, especially if I have out of town guests. There are, however, so many restaurants in the immediate area that I would probably choose first if it's just my partner and I.

A Chicago classic! Excellent atmosphere, combined with entertaining and informative conversations with staff. It is a "must see" in Chicago.

An esteemed Italian steakhouse with an affable and solicitous server. The New York strip and filet mignon were prepared flawlessly to medium-rare. The house-made spaghetti is simply delightful. The restaurant's classic ambiance evokes a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the 1950s.
Parking: Nearby paid parking garage.

Came here for the first time after hearing much about the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the server was very attentive. We ordered a shrimp cocktail that the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. Cocktail sauce was not up to par.
The prime rib was good but not 2 fingers thick. And the au jus was more gravy than au jue. The Ciccio and Pepe pasta was very watery and had little flavor. With all the choices in Chicago would look to visit them next time.

The steak was 10/10 and the staff was 11/10. What an incredible experience, thank you!

A little crowded when my friend and I got there, but it's downtown Chicago. Once seated it was amazing. Celebrating my friend at a Chicago establishment was amazing. The server was attentive and great customer service. We had the garbage salad (its a must) and a bone-in ribeye with brussel sprouts.
Parking: Use the valet they provide it prevents a headache of parking if you are driving in.

Gene & Georgetti served up one of the best porterhouse steaks that we have ever experienced. It was absolutely perfect! We loved the overall history and atmosphere of this place in general, plus the service was outstanding. It is a must visit restaurant in Chicago, and we actually preferred it here to Gibson's Steakhouse.

For the price, sadly I was very disappointed. Steak had good char but def didn’t get seasoned well. Steaks/sides came out while we were still eating salads. And then, all the it was lukewarm on arrival.

The story of Gene and Georgetti is legendary in Chicago. This iconic family owned Original Tuscan Steakhouse has been serving locals, tourists and celebrities since 1941. Think Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball, and Keanu Reeves to name a few! (Frank even has a booth named after him).
Located in River North, this warm and welcoming spot is always bustling with guests many of which are “regulars”. You feel it when you sit down at your table. Attentive service from a team who has been a part of the G&G family for 20 years in some cases.
From cocktails to dessert, we were guided to the best choices by our server. The freshest fish, homemade pastas, flavorful steak and sweet treats that you must order. (Never underestimate how good espresso and vanilla gelato are together!)
Highly recommend the following:
?Calamari - choose the grilled option with lemon and e.v.o.o
?Shrimp Cocktail - with their famous cocktail sauce
?Baby Gem Salad - radish, sweet crispy shallots, green goddess dressing
?Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe - cacio romano, parmigiano cheese, fresh ground pepper
?Chilean Sea Bass with lobster sauce and broccolini - a special that you MUST try
?Filet Mignon - tender and so flavorful
?Vesuvio Potatoes - garlic, white wine and green peas
?Old School Chocolate Cake - dark chocolate decadence
☕️Tiramisu - G&G classic made in-house
?Affagato - Lavazza espresso over vanilla gelato - a must for coffee lovers!
Thanks for a delicious dinner and wonderful hospitality, Gene and Georgetti’s. See you soon!

Not a bad place to order take out from, the salad was fresh and crunchy, the pappardelle bolognese was wholesome, but the knock out piece for me was the panna cotta, on of the best I ever ate

Stopped specifically for martinis. We ordered a lemon drop and espresso martini. They were both top notch. Bartender was friendly & courteous. Location is in a
quaint neighborhood.
