Top notch all the way around. Celebrated my parents retiring and they loved the experience there.

There's a reason it's been here forever! My first time dining here but not the last. Arrived early for my reservation and sat at the bar for about 30 min; excellent service and ambiance. Our meal was outstanding. We had baked clams, the bone in ribeye and onion rings for our side. Cooked perfectly! The service is attentive and warm, the vibe and mood everywhere is “old school Chicago” with a hint of Wisconsin supper club. A delightful place to celebrate any occasion. Of note is even though it was busy, you could comfortably talk and hear one another which is hard to find downtown! I can't wait to return. Thanks G&G!

We were a family group of 8 ages 16 to 87 and all of us were very satisfied with our experience. We hope to make this a regular gathering spot in the future.

Treat yourself to one of Chicago's storied restaurants that earns its great reputation anew every day. The soups here are especially delicious. Everything is excellent. Enjoy Chicago's own Gene & Georgetti!

Great special occasion dinner that's a Chicago classic. Service is outstanding and the restaurant is very cozy and welcoming.

Didn't know how big the restaurant was until entering. Had a table upstairs. All of the servers were very on the look out for refilling glasses or an additional drink. Had a filet, sea bass and chicken Joe at our table. All dishes were incredible and would be ordered again. Also had the potato's and brussel sprouts. The Brussels were our least favorite. Finished off meal with a piece of turtle cheesecake and it was delicious. Will come back again!

We love the space and that there isn't too loud of music! Our food was delicious- and we can't wait to come back! I think we were mildly forgotten about for a bit (they were VERY busy and we were a quiet table). So I gave service a 4, but otherwise, everyone was very kind and accommodating!

I ordered a filet mignon medium rare. I got medium well. Not good. Service very very slow. Server did not speak English very well, so it was hard to understand.

Everything was perfect - service, very flavorful dishes - great vibe. True Chicago Gem. ♥️

Clams were small. I have had eggplant parm that was much better. It was soggy and over packed with mozzarella.

I stopped in for a couple of drinks received my check and was about $37 for two drinks. Very good drinks at good prices. I left a $13 tip and looked at my credit card the next day and the bill was $110.01. Guess I paid for few drinks for the other patrons. I will never go back again.

The best steak I'd had was at the Faded Rose in Little Rock, AR, in the '90s. Gene & Georgetti matched it. Great place, warm and welcoming staff, incredible food.

Has really gone down hill. Steaks not cooked right even after being sent back. Overcooked dry chicken. Inattentive service. The dining room smells like mildew. Too many great spots at this price to eat here.
