Stopped in to get dessert and coffee with a friend. Had the Brown Butter Pecan Cookies, I would highly recommend it, it was so good.

I’ve mostly just come here for their lattes.
The cinnamon roll latte is my favorite. Up until now I always forgot to take a photo. The vibes here are always welcoming and the place is cozy.

Geraldine’s is in my neighborhood square and I used to go once a week and pick up their scrumptious banana tahini muffins and coffee or sit outside for breakfast before work. Lately the service is so poor I stopped going. A few days ago my mom asked to pick up some baked goods and we love their food, again the service was so poor. The cashier never looked at me, said hello or responded when I thanked her. I regret tipping. This place needs a complete overhaul in customer service. Starting with acknowledging customers. I doubt I’ll ever go back. Baked goods great, friendly service not at all.

Possibly the best frosted brownie I've ever had! Sooooo good. Great coffee as well. The only downside is that there isn't much seating and it was cramped to say the least. That won't keep me away though!

Great food!! Server was so rude. Super passive aggressive. Very blunt and slammed our drinks on the table. Not sure what we did wrong to upset her. Hope she pulls it together 🫡

Go for the pastries and lattes, avoid the strata.
Geraldine’s food is tasty and they offer an array of pastries as well as breakfast sandwiches. The coffee, matcha, and chai drinks are delicious. They accommodate for gluten free and offer a gluten free bread for the sandwiches and often have a few gluten free pastry options.

I live close to Geraldine's and pass by every day, so I was hoping this would become a go-to spot. Unfortunately, my experience on November 1st has left me with serious doubts. I ordered a slice of quiche made with poblano to-go. Upon opening it outside, I discovered I'd been given a different slice with ham instead. This was particularly problematic as I don't eat pork for religious reasons. I immediately went back inside. The employee who took my order acknowledged the mistake before I even explained he knew he'd given me the wrong item. He replaced the quiche and offered to reimburse me without my needing to disclose why this was such a serious issue. I considered the matter resolved.
However, no refund came through. A week later, I returned to speak with a manager. She was apologetic, took my card information, and assured me she'd process the refund. She even offered me a scone as an apology. It's now been another week and a half, still no refund. I don't understand what happened here. The staff seemed genuinely sorry and made clear promises to make things right, but those promises weren't kept. For a neighborhood spot where trust matters, this has been disappointing. I just wanted them to do what they said they would do.

They have the best baked goods in Chicago! The banana chocolate tahini muffins are out of this world, and the cupcakes are better than any other “cupcake” shop in the city — hands down. I just tried an oatmeal pumpkin cookie sandwich and wow, it was incredible. The baker is seriously top-notch.
Their coffee is also fabulous — I love that they use the perfect milk-to-espresso ratio for their drinks. This place is a true hidden gem that never fails to amaze me!

I love the homemade pastries and the best and freshest in the neighborhood. And the cold brew is the best cold brew ever in my life. You will be addicted to this lovely cafe. Make sure you try the sister restaurant “Jerry’s” as well.
