Very cute and good food. Everyone was super friendly, I'd recommend outdoor patio because it's at the back and very quiet/easier to talk. Interesting pairings and food choices for the menu, love to share so im good with it, don't take someone who doesn't like to share his plates. It's always a good sign when the desserts are as good and creative as the menu is.

Great balance of flavour and texture. Excellent service by both front of house and kitchen — we were seated at the kitchen counter. Our favourite dishes were the tagliatelle, and the shrimp and Scallop on a crunchy rice chip.

Sales flyers are helpful.
My husband and I LOVE Giant. We had another exceptional experience there a week ago. Our server, Monica, was lovely and just the right amount of attentive. The food was GREAT. What a delicious, creative menu!

The hostess was probably stressed out, but she came off annoyed and stand offish when I came in. Immediate turn off. The server was wonderful & helpful! Bust peeps/food runners were nice too. The food was decent. If you are a seafood lover, you’ll enjoy the tagliatelle. The eggplant was okay, but the pitta was delicious. All cocktails were well made, so I have no complaints. Also tried their watermelon salad which was mid. I got seated inside which was nice & quiet for an after workday dinner. You are charge a % to cover employee health insurance, so crossing my fingers that goes to part-time direct staff and not their GMs! LOL Overall, decent experience. I would come back only for the cocktails and check out the patio seating (reading reviews that it is nice)…maybe give the apps another chance. If I could, I would give a 3.5 star rating for my overall experience :)

Phenomenal quality food, unique dishes, nice vibes!!! Worth the long wait time! I ordered the sourdough and the saffron pasta with the jonah crab. Ended with hibiscus sorbet that had tajin in it. The pasta was unbelievable. Beautifully presented, high quality ingredients, huge lumps of crab, and really unique flavors that I had never had before. The sorbet was such a unique experience. Great hibiscus flavor and well prepared in terms of texture. The tajin elements were sort of surprising but in an interesting way - like it was spicy but cold! I think a little too much tajin for my taste but worth the experience to order it. The style of the restaurant sort of requires that you order a few plates because each individual item seems to not really be a full meal. I wish the pasta came as a full sized portion because I wanted more. The price is high but I think the food quality matches the price.
This place is a true gem. Every single dish we've tried is outstanding — packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and completely unique. You can tell there is serious thought and creativity in every item on the menu. It's one of those rare spots where you genuinely want to try everything.
The drinks are just as impressive. Cocktails are well-balanced, original, and clearly made with quality ingredients. A perfect complement to the food.
Service is friendly and efficient — the staff are attentive without hovering, and the whole experience is warm and welcoming.
The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, which we love. The space is small and seating can feel a little tight during busy times, but honestly, the food more than makes up for it. Just adds to the charm.
Highly recommend this spot if you're after a delicious meal that hits every time, great drinks, and a laid-back vibe.

I came back after 8 years and was a bit nervous, but I wasn’t disappointed. This is still a fantastic restaurant with such a warm and talented team.
We sat at the chef’s counter, which was a wonderful experience — watching the kitchen in action really added to the evening.
Everything we tried was exceptional, but the eggplant and the beef stood out as real highlights.

Respectfully, I felt the taste, food, and creative spirit of the menu (albeit random and without any remnant of a voice or cohesive story, imo) was commendable (though mid), and not as noteworthy as I had hoped per rave reviews and longstanding reputation. Service was top notch, though! If it wasn’t for the quality and warmth of service, I’d given Giant a 3/5, overall, considering their reputation and revered place within the Chicago culinary world.
