Went for Thanksgiving dinner. Little expensive, but the food was good and the portions were serious. Excellent waiters!

Always enjoy dining here. The food is amazing. I try something different each time I go and have not been disappointed.

Great atmosphere, and the food is also really nice - especially the table side dishes.
While the waitress was really nice and funny, she was really slow. We came hungry so that made it a bit worse of an experience.

A beautiful restaurant. Terrific food, stunning decor, great service. Hubby started with the polpette (aka meatballs) and the cacio & pepe. He said both were delicious. (They'll do the cacio & pepe tableside if you wish.) I started with the caesar salad. I'd suggest lightening up the dressing. A bit heavy for me. The pumpkin soup was one of the apps of the day. It was lovely and light.

Finding authentic Italian cuisine in the U.S. is rare, and unfortunately, this place fell short. From the start, the experience was disappointing. We waited endlessly to be seated, even after alerting the hostess, and were left parched. To top it off, the noise level was unbearable—we couldn’t even hear each other talk. The tables were cramped with little to no space in between.
For a place flaunting high-class awards and prices, we expected much more. The only redeeming items were the meatball appetizer and espresso martini. The rest? I’d flush it all down the drain.
The Caesar salad was laughable: four uncut leaves with a sparse dressing and croutons. My main, Casoncelli alla Bergamasca, was promised with white sauce but arrived drenched in a greasy, overly salted oil-butter concoction. The portion size was childlike, and still no water.
Desserts were a disaster. My espresso arrived an hour before the dessert. The overly sugary crème brûlée came in a cup and was unrecognizable, while the tiramisu was a travesty: soaked ladyfingers with bland mascarpone thrown on top.
With so many exceptional restaurants in Chicago, there’s no reason to dine here—overpriced, inauthentic, and underwhelming. Save your time and money.

Waited 2 hours and our main course still hasn’t arrived. Service was extremely bad. Lights go on and off. Would not recommend
Great food and service. If you like real Italian then this is the place for you. Prices are great and chef Christano has the best vodka sauce we've every eaten. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

Love to go this spot to eat at the bar! Best limoncello spritz in town. Bread is phenomenal-I normally go light on restaurant bread, but cannot resist here. Love the tableside cacio e pepe. Fabulous texture and flavor. Even if you aren’t one for displays, pick it!

Excellent true Italian experience. Great place for large or small groups. I loved the spinach risotto and fried calamari. The espresso martini was also very well balanced.
I really hate being hit with hidden charges. When we walked in, the table runner came to our table and asked if we wanted sparkling or still water? This was not out of the ordinary, but when the bill came, I was surprised to see I was charged $9 per bottle of water! There is nothing online or on their physical menus that warns you that there is a charge for water.
I came to this restaurant because I saw videos online that they did table side Cacio e Pepe in a cheese wheel. I was super excited about this in anticipation for weeks. The food here does not disappoint. My girlfriend and I had the Carciofi salad, Casoncelli pasta, and the Cacio e Pepe (of course). The food was delicious and popped with flavor.
The service; however, is horrible. The restaurant had one waiter and a few table runners. We only saw our waiter when he took our order and when he did the table side Cacio e Pepe. They have two menu items prepared table side, so I am surprised they only have one waiter. But this is also why service dragged on and on. Also why we were basically ignored, except for the bare minimum in human interaction.
I really wanted to like this restaurant. We went to a matinee at the Lyric Opera, so we were there early for dinner (5:30pm). The food was good, portion sizes reasonable, and cost in line with other Italian restaurants. But the poor service and being charged $9 for each bottle of water definitely drags their rating down.

Food is decently good. Staff was very friendly and took care of us. However some etiquette training required. Fork belongs on left and knife on right. Atmosphere is beautiful and romantic.
