Since hearing the story about this bakery on BBC and NPR, I've been meaning to stop in whenever I was close by. That opportunity finally arrived Friday afternoon. What a delight! The bakery is decorated in a very homey manner, complete with the widest assortment of whimsical cookie jars I have ever seen outside of a museum. And what an assortment of cookies! OMG - the smell of sweets when you walk in had me salivating! I ate some of the goodies when I got home and the chocolate chip w/walnut cookie was outstanding - rich and heavy on the walnuts. I also had a key lime bar (1/2 - they're large) and it was just like a pie except firmer and more dense. I'd return just for that! I'm looking forward to tasting the peach cobbler & potato chip cookie. 😍
