We loved everything from the welcoming greeting, the delicious food, to the "Come back soon" departure ❣️?. The Salmon Croquettes were fantastic! The owner is beautiful and very friendly. We'll be back!!!

Heard about this place and finally got a chance to dine in there tonight. I am really glad I did. It's such a clean, beautiful, cozy place. I had the smothered pork chops with collards greens and red beans and rice. The food was great. The homade gravy on the pork chops was the best I have ever had. ? Everything was so tasty, and to top it off was delicious homade peach cobbler for dessert. The service was spot on, Angela. My waitress was so friendly and one of the best servers around. She really keeps on top of anything needed, refills on pop and water, and extra napkins all showing up when needed without having to ask, truly the mark of a very attentive and professional server. Glady's is an absolute gem in the Southside of Chicago. Can't wait to dine here again, I think I will become a regular here.

Great food and service the owner was extremely nice and accommodating. The Mac and cheese, greens. Beef short ribs were spectacular I recommend going here.

The meal was cold. Had a chicken thigh, that was baked with no sauce or gravy. The Green beans taste like can, served with a small piece of beef roast that was tender and tasty. The corn bread was plain, I like mine a little sweet tasty, not dry. The peach cobbler was fantastic and the cake was good. I'll have to try your collard greens and yams and cobbler no meats.

This is AUTHENTIC Soul food. Not Southern food, this is what Soul food was meant to be. My favorite is the smothered chicken and the best dressing I’ve ever eaten.

I love it. I had the smothered chicken wings with candied yams and cabbage. And my fiancé had the beef short ribs.. the food was great, the decor was beautiful the vibe and the energy was just as equally great. I’ll be back for the food and the hospitality.. thanks you guys are doing a great job..

What a disappointment!!! Long wait for dine in and after questioning our waiter was told of the call in orders and the cook was taking orders as they came in whether dine in or carry out.. how can you have your dine in patrons wait over 30 minutes for their food??‍♀️!! Decided to switch to carry out and another disappointment when we got home. No gravy for the dressing, salmon croquettes not done and very poor presentation!!! Certainly not the Gladys back in the day!!??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️Maybe they’ll get better with time??

My family had an 80th birthday celebration for my Aunt. The service was so so so bad. We arrived at 2:00pm and we didn’t receive the food for 2 hours 30 minutes. At approximately 4pm the owner emerged from the kitchen stating she was out of chicken and if 2 people would change their order she would give them a surprise dish but she wasn’t saying what it was. Finally my 80 year old aunt in distress said “I’m diabetic” and pointed to 3 other seniors who were also diabetic. She explained she couldn’t go this long without eating. I felt so bad for having agreed to this choice of venue. At 5pm the guests still hasn’t received the food and the restaurant starting prepping for a party. The food wasn’t fresh or served hot. Until this restaurant can improve customer service, this is a hard NO!

Omg! Literally good soul food in the city, yay! The yams taste like my grandmother's, the smothered pork chops delicious, greens even though there's no meat in them they're so flavorful and I'm not a big cheese eater but that Mac and cheese.... baby! I'll definitely be back!
