Mid food, nothing different from any regular Chinese restaurant all over the world.
Staff is not friendly, but they are not rude.
Not to repeat.

The food is very good. The server recommended the French style beef tenderloin which we found to be very tender and tasty, it was deep fried which made it amazing. The salted egg yolk shrimp was packed with plenty of egg yolk costing and was our favorite entrée. The Razor Clam was delicious. The Hong Kong Pan Fried Noodles was the only disappointment, lacking in flavor. The server was nice and our food came out fast. The restaurant is very small and there was only one other table besides ours, they did more carryout than dine-ins. The place is located on a side street and we happened to see their A Frame menu sign. We wanted to order some of the items on their sign and the server said some of the items we wanted like the beef casserole were their lunch menus and not on their dinner menu. The prices are more expensive than other places in Chinatown but they do have some unique entrees. We will return and try other entrees.

Wow! I cannot say enough about this restaurant. We were visiting on thanksgiving, so planned a trip to Chinatown for Dunch given all the closures downtown. Just happened to find this spot by luck, and how fortunate we were. This is among the best authentic Asian cuisine we’ve ever had. The venue is unassuming, but the food is not. We recommend the French tenderloin, razor clams, and above all else, the tea smoked duck, which was absolutely perfect. We had the chance to chat with Wendy the owner, and her passion for seafood especially poured out of her as we chatted. We like to eat at a place where they are excited about their food. This is a hidden gem in Chicago’s Chinatown and we will absolutely be back. ❤️

If you want really fresh seafood cooked authentically, do yourself a favor and come here. It's not fancy and it's pretty small (about 6 tables) and kind of on a side street from the main drag in Chinatown but is consistently and legitimately delicious. Always ask what the fresh catch of the day is. We had soft shell crab, scallops on the half shell (steamed with rice noodles and scallions), salted egg yolk shrimp - shell off (consensus favorite. Do it), French style beef tenderloin, taco baos, morning glory (Chinese green that is hard to find in normal supermarkets), and garlicky Shanghai bok choy. There's live Dungeness crab and lobster if you want to impress and work for your dinner. This place takes reservations if you call, it does get full and they turn people away every time I have been there. Parking can be difficult as your options are street or parking garages. Also, its BYOB.

The roasted duck was fabulous. Next time in Chicago, it will be my 1st place to eat.

The woman who answered the phone had a southern accent. Her words were harsh and aggressive. The boss told her not to answer the phone anymore. Disgusting! The other girl was very nice, gentle and patient.

Solid home style food at a reasonable price. Steamed fish though pricier than other shops.
蒸鱼 贵些 但其他的菜都还好。

Green beans was great with fried and stir fry method, the shiitake mushroom added a nice savory flavor.

Salmon head casserole ?- the reason why we return. Fatty and yummy, requires some patience and skill to eat.

Mushroom mix - to balance out the meal with this light flavor. We loved it.

Rice is hard per all Chinese restaurants that need overnight rice for fried rice. $1/bowl but they packed it ?

Definitely coming back! The food was incredible.
French style beef tenderloin - full of flavor and tender.
Crab rangoon - so crispy and delicious made with real crab & lobster.
Shrimp fried rice - they were out of lobster fried rice which is what I initially wanted but it was yummy! I ordered a side of chili oil to drizzle over the rice it was 10x better.
Overall a 10/10 experience with great service!

Yesterday we ate there, my family and I, the food and the prices that were outside the restaurant did not correspond to those offered to us inside, they told us that they were old, (and if so, they should change and update them), we did not want to leave tip because we felt cheated, and yet they demanded it from us, and we gave it to them, it seemed like abuse to me, I would not recommend the place, a shame about our bad experience.

The last time my wife and I dined at a traditional Chinese restaurant was in 1976, on our honeymoon, in San Francisco, on our way to Hawaii. I don't remember what I ate but I do recall that I enjoyed the experience and the atmosphere. So here we are, in Chicago's Chinatown, having our second meal at a Chinese restaurant. Friends recommended Go 4 Food at 212 West 23rd Street, between Princeton and Indiana, near the Chinese American Museum of Chicago, and since we had never been to Chinatown we decided it was time. Open from 11 to 9 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and from 11 to 10 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Go 4 Food is a Michelin award winner that serves creative Chinese and Asian cuisine with a modern take on Cantonese-style cooking. It's a BYOB operation that specializes in French style beef tenderloin, walnut shrimp, crab Rangoon, sweet and sour Chinese style ribs and salted egg yolk shrimp. The menu is an exhausting adventure that covers everything from soup to nuts. We started with egg rolls, pork and shrimp potstickers and bowls of vegetable soup and chicken and sweet corn in cream soup. For her entree, my wife chose sweet and sour chicken. I opted for one of the house's best sellers, French style beef tenderloin with fried rice. For dessert, we had bubble waffles. What are bubble waffles? An egg waffle with an almost custard taste. It consists of egg whites, egg yolks, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk, flour, baking powder and cornstarch. San Francisco, revisited.

Deeeeeliiicious!!! Food was really on point. Waiter was really accommodating even helped me take my food out to the car. Drawback might be that the place is small, but to be quite honest I like it that way, probably wouldn't be the same if it was any bigger. My only other drawback portion size on takeout could be a little bit bigger. Definitely going back
