My family stopped here to get pastries before driving home from our weekend in Chicago. The pastries were good, though they were priced on the higher end of normal. The atmosphere was definitely not meant for families. It had a very corporate vibe and was filled with people on their laptops or having business meetings. The register had a sign stating that there was a 3% surcharge for using a credit card, but when I tried to pay in cash, the cashier told me they don't accept...
Nice coffee shop. Not too busy on a Monday morning. I had a kouign amann which was quite good, I’d give it an 7.5/10. I also ordered an iced coffee which was average but nothing to complain about. Not a ton of tables appropriate for working, so be prepared to work from a couch/lounge chair if you’re looking to work remotely.
