A friend and I went in this morning and they were so kind welcoming us in. They messed up my friend’s order but quickly apologized, fixed the order, AND gave her another bagel to again, apologize for the mistake. I’ve never been to an establishment where they were so quick to welcome us and fix their mistake! Recommend to anyone in the Chicago land area or anyone in general to check out!

Bagels have crunchy crust and they have delicious vegan cream cheese! Quality right up there with NYC bagels! Also there’s so much cream cheese in the bagels you have enough for a 2nd bagel!

Hit up Gotham Bagels on Lincoln Ave this morning. Snagged the OMFG breakfast bagel (fried egg, bacon, Nashville chicken + aioli) and a cold brew—spent about $22. Flame combo, bagel was crisp with a lil’ kick, cold brew legit woke me up. Space is kinda cozy, tight seating if it’s busy. Vibe was chill and staff were cool. Will def pop back when I’m in the neighborhood.

I would easily consider bagels to be one of my favorite foods, and going to grab an iced latte and a fun bagel flavor is one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday morning - so when I heard that the Gotham Bagels South Loop location was open, I knew I had to check it out!
Gotham Bagels has been on my list for a LONG time, and it definitely did not disappoint! We tried a couple of their specialty sandwiches along with a classic sweet bagel to round it all out!
My absolute FAVORITE from the meal was the Brighton Beach - the smoked salmon was perfect, the ratio of ingredients was incredible, and the flavor of the everything bagel tied everything together! I’d highly recommend checking out the South Loop Gotham Bagels location!

We paid $60 for 2 bagels and 2 coffees and the quality of the bagels was not it. They are tough and stale. The same quality as getting $1 bagels from Jewel. Not worth the price you are paying. Service is nothing special.

perhaps i ordered the wrong thing but i really did not enjoy my bagel. i ordered the v and it was just mushy and not good :(. my sister enjoyed her bacon egg and cheese bagel so maybe just get that or anything else.

Lesson learned - don’t try to order within a half hour of this place closing. Staff wasn’t rude but wasn’t happy to take my order, and they made that known.
TBH it’s a good bagel, but really expensive and my order was wrong. I ordered a lox bagel that came with only the cream cheese and lox, no capers, onion, dill or spinach! Way too much cream cheese, too. I won’t be going out of my way again.
