Went here on a Saturday 1 hour before closing. I expected it to be a bit better. Although I know they were closing soon I felt very rushed and the service wasn’t very helpful. My matcha cane without additional stuff i had ordered and after waiting awhile for the food it arrived cold. Would come here again maybe just a bad experience.

Super rude guy at the counter who barks at customers like they are trash. He acts as if it's a bother to actually take for order in person and all but forces you to order at the kiosk or order online. I understand that the restaurant business is tough and that it's a very busy place in the morning. I, however, don't understand not treating customers who put food on your table with basic respect and having fewer manners than a toddler.
The bagels are fine for Chicago but you will be disappointed if you're expecting a New York style bagel because these are anything but.

I usually don't leave reviews but honestly this was one of the best experiences I've had. I struggle a lot with social anxiety and ordering food is really difficult for me. When I was overwhelmed and indecisive, the workers were so understanding. They offered to show me pictures of the food and answered any questions I had. Although it was just some extra patience, it meant the world to me and made my day. Even though it was my first time there, everyone was friendly as if I was a regular. And my bagel was exactly how I hoped it would be. 😋 I'm planning on coming back!!!

Best whole wheat everything bagel in the city.
We were in town for the “Da bears” game and wanted to try a Bagel spot. This place was excellent. The bagels were great, I had the bacon, hard egg and cheddar on an everything with a Hot Latte that was one of the best I had. We came back the next day to grab a few bagels and the guy remembered us with a “welcome back”. He even threw in an extra bagel for us!! Thanks man, will definitely be back next time we come in town.

This was the most just okay bagel sandwich I have had in a long time, and for the price I expected better. I got the spicy sausage and egg on everything. The everything bagel was aggressively salty, which, I am a salt fiend so I feel like that says a lot. The over medium egg was cooked perfectly, so props for that. But the egg itself was devoid of seasoning. There was no sauce or cream cheese smear, so the sandwich was extremely dry. I probably won't try again. Even though chicago is not a bagel city, I have had other much better sandwiches here.

The food is pretty solid. The reason for four stars is I’ve had numerous issues with takeout or delivery orders where I received an incorrect order. Mainly leaving this review to provide feedback as I like Gotham and think they need to slow down and make sure the service is reliable.
Decent bagels. Enjo24zyedx

Ordered a Bacon, Egg & Cheddar on an Egg Everything Bagel. Egg cooked over-hard.
Best bagel I’ve ever had.
Docking a star because the price of $13 is a bit high.
Maybe get rid of the unwanted pickle spear.
Kind of a weird thing to add with a breakfast bagel….

The bacon egg and cheese was delicious! Really enjoyed the extra cream cheese and pasta to patty! Super nice staff. The outdoor seating was also nice

Unfortunately, these are probably the best bagels in Chicago.
They are okay. The only place I’ve found that sells rounded dough that more closely resembles a bagel than bread. But still not quite a real bagel. I guess I just have to accept that Long Island bagel culture can never be replicated.
Speaking of Long Island — calling that smoked turkey abomination on a bagel the Long Island special is kind of insulting. The bacon egg and cheese would make way more sense. They should probably take it off the menu to keep their dignity, but at the very least, change the name. You’d be hard pressed to find one of those on a Long Island menu.
