This spot is the only African restaurant I will order from. When the food is ready it is amazing. Depending on the cook it may take some time to prepare but you can't go wrong with their stews and soups. The jollof rice even came with stew which was perfect. I saved it and used it for home cooked rice. If you're looking for Nigerian food this is the place.

Website said it was open. I traveled cross town only to find the restaurant closed. SMH I was so excited.

Lovely place, excellent meals! Seems to be recently rebranded to "The New Grace Restaurant". Besides the really great customer service, the food is excellent. If you're a lover of authentic Ghanaian dishes, you should definitely make time to check this place out!For our first time here, we tried 'banku and tilapia' and 'banku with okro stew' ??... Definitely coming back to try the rest! Highly recommended.

We left one restaurant to end up back at Grace's. He was very kind and took care of us. The soup was thinner than what I'm used to,but it was yummy!!! Thank you for good service and good food

Not a good place. Hygiene is lacking.

The owner is a fraud! Ordered commercial furniture for his place and used someone else's credit card and name to place the order. Needless to say, we are contacting the local police to investigate this! The phone # is not even working Shame on this place and its owner who take advantage of other business owners and innocent people!

Authentic African (Ghanaian) cuisine with decent menu variety and small dine-in space. Soup dishes tend to be on the spicy side. Limited street parking. You’ll be lucky to get someone on the phone but if you’re on-site you’re be please with the food!

Of course it’s me again, with some more Waakye. This is a must when I go to Ghanaian restaurants. Grace’s African Restaurant did not fail me with this delicious tasting Waakye.

This place was delicious! I ordered the Egusu soup with chicken and Fufu with soup with goat. It was so good! The portions are large. I shared it with my family. I would definitely recommend this place.

I love the authentic culture it brings to Chicago, both in the food and atmosphere upon entrance to the restaurant. This is truly an amazing place to dine and have great conversation/ dialogue regarding various topics around the world. Customer service is fabulous. Just remember some food consist of being spicy, however ask and maybe the cook can fix you a special non-spicy dish. I enjoyed this place for years, just go visit and see the beauty in the food, music and decorations within this place.

I've been going to this restaurant for like 4 years now. I love this place for their banku and okra soup, It takes about 30 min from hyde park to get there but I don't mind the drive. I'll give it 4 star for now, when they start accepting cards or zelle I'll give it a 5.
