I loved my food! I got carry out eggplant with yogurt, veal biriyani, and ginger chicken. It was very tasty and the chef was thoughtful to my families dietary needs. I would highly recommend GTR to anyone who has interest in exploring Indo-Pak cuisine. Thanks Basma for the suggestion!

Just got some food from their delivery/carry out menu. I ordered pan roasted lamb chops which were beautifully cooked with medium spiciness, tender and juicy. The rice with potatoes that accompanied the rice was yummy too. The other item I ordered was spinach with goat meat. This was also delicious with just the right spiciness and tender meat. I am glad they have the carry out/ delivery option. Will definitely be ordering again.

Good food and service. Love the small menu.

Great food and service! Severs seem to really know the menu and are able to make suggestions that are on target. Definitely will be back!

Nice restaurant and service, but the food was disappointing. Tiny menu and not done that well. Pakora and curry we tried were bland. Biryani was tasty but $19 for mostly rice and bread.

Place was almost empty on Saturday evening. The bartender was working as a waiter too.

We have been here twice now and think the food is awesome. It's a bit higher-end than other places so a touch more expensive but the flavors are great and worth it. The wife-husband team that run the restaurant are super friendly too. Each dish we have eaten here has been really yummy.

App was great. Lassi was regrettable especially for $8. My wife’s dinner was phenomenal, basically their take on eggplant Bartha. I don’t think they are too busy and so I’m pretty sure my dish was yesterday’s reheated. Service was great.

This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites! Great atmosphere! Delicious food, every time! The presentation is artistic and the flavors are very authentic. Definitely a must-visit! Try the nehari and fisherman’s stew!

Definitely not your standard Indian menu. Creative with what they present. Loved the Shahi Kachori, and the Mushroom and cheese Naan. For sure will order the Fish Tikka again......it was excellent Mahi! We met the owners (husband & wife) who were very down to earth, and had a great story! We wish them all the best, as Chicago needs more Indian restaurants like this. We'll be back!

This place is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. when I feel like having a fair supper, this is the place that comes immediately to my mind. very good and all kinds of food and a large menu.professional team, and good atmosphere. In addition to that, the cost is reasonable. I tell about this spot with pleasure.

What a great find . So many Indian restaurants here in Chicago but this one has to be the very best . Come to Chicago to see my grandson from Florida I had to explore Indian Cuisine here in Chicago . Amazing food from the appetizer to the main courses . Not a huge selection of dishes that you find in many other restaurants but what they have is exceptional focused dishes that they make with passion and tremendous flavor. The BEST lamb chops I have ever had also the Tarka Dall . Only criticism is that they don't have Indian Beers . Which they hope to fix in next month or two . For sure my wife and I will be going there next time we are in Chicago . Highly recommended from a discerning foodie .

I was so excited to check out Grand Trunk Road as we live just around the corner, and we are in need of good restaurants in the neighborhood. We were incredibly disappointed the moment we walked in the door where we waited for over 5 minutes for waitstaff to greet and seat us. There were only 4 occupied tables in the restaurant. We were patient as we know they're new but the service was awful, we sat for over 2.5 hours as our dishes were brought out 1 by 1 instead of a couple being brought together. For example, rice and naan were brought out alone after we received a curry dish. The food was very good, but the poor service in an empty restaurant won't bring us back anytime soon.
