An icon that is really starting to show its age. The neighborhood has had some struggles in recent years, especially as other long running Greek restaurants close, but the food quality has plummeted and most items are lacking flavor and staying heated too long. The Lombard location surprisingly has better quality food now, but most of the Greeks have moved north over the decades and taken a few of the best places with them.
Of course we’ll be back until they close, but it’s sad to see how far the islands has fallen. Maybe a replacement for acropolis will kick in competition.

The food has been consistently delicious over the years. The ambiance is soft and welcoming. Our waiter was nice, but seemed a little distracted. He was prompt with our service, so no complaints with that. I think I prefer the Chicago location over the Lombard, but the food is the same both places.
We had reservations, and I'm glad we did, because the place filled up quickly once we got there.

Opa.
I tried this spot upon recommendation of friends.
The provided curbside valet, which is great considering the area parking. This was a plus.
The interior was clean and had an interesting display when checking in with Host. The atmosphere was a little too busy and loud for my taste but, works for the overall experience.
The food selection was wonderful. The flavors were very specific to the dish being so different. Which is not always the case. Very delicious.
The service was professional and efficient. Too busy for that small talk or joking. Which me and my party were chatty.
The desserts were very tasty as well.
I will be back for more.

Sat outside a month ago and had Jaqueline as a server and she was fantastic! Some of the best service we’ve had in a long time! The food was great too! I recommend the pork kontosouvli… simple and perfect.

This place is a huge draw for out of town and business people. It was very expensive and the food not great, the pastichio had overcooked noodles and was not so good. The saganaki was OK. For what they charge the meal was not worth it.. Our server seemed distracted.
I have been here before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere, this last visit was disappointing.

As we expected, there was about a 15 minute wait at 7pm on a Friday. The food was OK, and the service was surprisingly fast.

Worst restaurant experience ever. Very noisy to a point that as a couple we could not talk. The food is one step above fast food at the price of a French restaurant. Waiting, even with a reservation, is 30 min, and getting the fist dish is another 30 min. We could not take it anymore and decided not to have a birthday cake.
