The food court is located in the basement of 105 Madison BLDG. I ordered pho tai; the noodles were a little overcooked, but the soup base was surprisingly very good, considering the food court setting.

Solid solid place. No wait service, just order and wait for your food to be called. Don’t let the environment worry you. Food ain’t elite, but it is just overall solid comfort food with fair prices. We passed on the viet food, but got the Korean. Can see how other reviews say wait can be a bit long if they busy, so be mindful of that. No public bathrooms!

If there’s another pho around downtown area, there’s definitely no people coming here. The pho tastes bad, but pretty pricy for its quality.

I've heard good things about this place and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, today was a miss. They were fairly busy and only had 2 people working. I ordered the bulgogi and after 25 minutes of waiting it finally arrived. The beef was ice cold and had a strange texture. I should also mention that the beef was prepared in a microwave. Maybe they were cutting corners today due to being short staffed.

A place I visit every time I come to Chicago!
It's located in the food court in the basement of the building, and for a moment I feel like I've come to Korea.
The kimchi is just the right amount of aged kimchi, making it perfect for stew. Last time I had galbitang and this time I had gomtang, and both soups were rich and clean!

?️ Location & Accessibility
Hard to Find: Green Apple PHOever is located in the basement of a building, which can be tricky to spot. The sign is small, and GPS only takes you nearby.
Tip: Once you enter the building (it feels like an office or apartment), let the front desk know you’re heading to the food court. Stairs only access left of the elevators, no elevator access.
?️ Food Quality & Menu
PHO & More: While they offer PHO, I was surprised by their authentic Korean dishes. I ordered Korean food, and it was fresh, flavorful, and affordable.
Portion Size: The portions were enough to leave me feeling full and satisfied.
Pricing: Average to cheap for downtown Chicago. A great deal for the quality.
? Service Quality
Kiosk Ordering: Orders are made via kiosk, so make sure to bring a credit card.
Wait Time: Food is cooked fresh, so expect a few minutes depending on how busy it is.
Friendly Staff: The staff was welcoming, helpful, and quick to assist.
?️ Ambience & Environment
Food Court Setting: The eating area is shared with other vendors, and tables were clean.
Simple Decor: Nothing fancy, just basic. You’re expected to throw away your trash and return dishes to the restaurant.
?? Is it clean?
Restaurant: Clean
Tables: Clean
Restrooms: Old but clean, like the building.
? Recommendation
Would I Recommend?: Absolutely! If you love discovering hidden gems with great food at affordable prices, Green Apple PHOever is worth a visit. I’ll definitely be going back.
? Important Tips
Payment: Only credit cards are accepted, no cash.
Signage: Look closely for the small sign, and remember it’s in the basement!

I went here after a dentist appointment and the Korean food was legit. I had the Galbitang which very delicious for a food court… I’d put it against any of the other Korean food places in the city, surprisingly! 배부르게 맛있게 먹고 갔어요 ?
Atmosphere only 3 stars, it’s in a basement, what can I say

the food was ready pretty quick! bulgogi was great. pho dac biet was good, beef was slightly overcooked, but the broth was great. the prices were also very reasonable. great place to get some korean food and vietnamese pho in downtown chicago, although the entrance goes easily unnoticed (not their fault, but just a heads up for when you are looking for the place). give it a try!

Korean food (and pho) in the basement of a building. I enjoyed my food. Very interesting, definitely recommend trying it.

This is a restaurant run by a generous and talented Korean owner in downtown Chicago. It's been a while since I've had Korean food during a family trip, so I went here and the kimchi stew and stir-fried pork were excellent. The rice noodles tasted just like the ones I had in Korea, and the broth was very good. The whole family gave it the highest rating.

In the depths of the Windy City lies Green Apple PHOever. I ordered My Pho, which has beef, brisket, and meatballs. The massive bowl of Pho came without a soup spoon, and I had to wait for awhile just to ask for one because they were shortstaffed. The pho was all right and got better over time. The meat was nice and I liked the three different styles of meat. I was with two other people who didn’t order pho, and their food came 20 minutes later!!! I tried some of their sticky rice and it was a little bland/dry. The atmosphere makes it clear that you are in a random basement in Chicago, which wasn’t very good. Overall, I got a nice lunch, so I give Green Apple PHOever 3 stars!
