This is truly one of the best Ramen in Chicago (I’ve tried many of them!) I personally prefer Tonkotsu and ask for spicy sides to adjust my Ramen.
I do recommend you Green Tea so much.

Don’t go to the cheap sushi buffet a block south, just go here. Miso soup has more salt and flavor and punches better, and their rainbow roll is one of their stronger rolls I highly suggest getting.

I would be so happy to just get 5 rainbow rolls and a miso soup.

The Seared Salmon Maki roll was absolutely divine! My boyfriend said it was the best sushi he’s ever had, and trust me we’ve tried a lot. The ramen was also very good. We’ll definitely come back!

I absolutely adore the pristine cleanliness, stunning interior design, and inviting atmosphere of this place! The takoyaki is an absolute must-try, featuring three generous chunks of tender octopus that elevate each bite. The chirashi don, on the other hand, offers a delightful twist—it's presented as a fancy fusion dish that departs from the traditional style, making for a truly unique culinary experience.

High quality sushi. It’s really find to find good fish around here in Chicago, especially sushi places that have the perfect balance of fish and rice.

Amazing place. Got their roasted shishito peppers and spicy tonkatsu ramen. Delish and actually spicy! This'll be a go to place for me.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out since it’s so close to my nail salon in Lincoln Park. Today I finally went with my fiance and we were sooo impressed! The space is so zen and clean. The service was great and quick. We ordered the bento box with the chicken teriyaki and the shumai. Both were delicious! The shumai is honestly probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely come back!

We have always loved green tea, mainly ordering take out. We went to their new location and the place is beautiful with a very nice atmosphere and great service. All of our roles were amazing and fish tasted fresh. Highly recommended.

Green tea is very unassuming and I will say that it was very different in a good way. The service was great. Our waitress checked in often with me. And the food was very good. I have to say one of the best quality from what I have been able to try over the years. The atmosphere or ambiance was out of this world. If only other places had the kind of style that green tea had! I will say that the fried tempura was the best from all other Japanese restaurants I have been to. Give green tea a try, you don’t regret it!

I’ve been to this sushi bar at their old location, and while I was initially surprised by how small their lodge was, the quality kept us to come back. Three weeks later, I was confused to find them in a new location, but the changes turned out to be for the better! With more space and an upgraded atmosphere, the experience is even more enjoyable. The food is just as good as ever, the prices remain fair, and the service is top-notch. I recommend this place!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Green Tea Japanese Restaurant, a place I hadn't visited in over a decade. The restaurant has since relocated and undergone a transformation in its interior design. A friend highly recommended it, so I decided to give it a try.

From the moment I stepped inside, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The cozy setup, with just a few tables, created an intimate and inviting ambiance. The new decor is beautifully done, making the space feel both modern and comfortable.

The service was exceptional from the start. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations for the dishes. I ordered several items to sample, including the Spicy Kampachi, Grilled Squid Robata, and the Omakase Nigiri Set, which came with miso soup and a salad.

Each dish was prepared to perfection—bursting with flavor and presented with care. The freshness of the ingredients and the attention to detail truly stood out. Combined with the excellent service and delightful atmosphere, the dining experience was memorable.

This restaurant has definitely exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. If you’re looking for delicious Japanese cuisine in a cozy and well-decorated setting, I highly recommend Green Tea Japanese Restaurant. It’s a place I’ll gladly visit again!
