Great service. I order the Chopped Salad and it was light and refreshing. Would go back again.

Great place but terribly understaffed and the poor waitstaff are breaking a sweat to keep up

Went for a Thanksgiving Day feast with the family. Are seriously considering that I can for when our son gets married in january. We need somewhere to have that morning brunch and this was a very nice place with live music plenty of Windows on one side and nice folks.

Perfect place for thanksgiving! Staff was lovely and food was great. Lived in chicago for 37 years and didn't know about this place, but I'll definitely be returning!

Everything about our visit was amazing from start to finish. Diego, the bartender, absolutely deserves a special shoutout. He was incredibly professional, attentive, and you can really tell he takes pride in his work. His work ethic stood out the entire night from the way he carefully made each drink to how he checked in on us without ever being overbearing. Our date went so well, and a big part of that was the atmosphere. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, warm, festive, and cozy without feeling over the top. The drinks and food were just as impressive. Every drink we tried was amazing and perfectly balanced, and the food was delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in everything. shout out to the chef! Overall, we had an incredible experience and will definitely be coming back.. especially if Diego is behind the bar!

WOW!!! Grill on 21 completely exceeded our expectations! From the ambiance, to the service, to the food-everything was on point!! Our waiter, Garren was amazing. And compliments to the culinary staff. Perfectly cooked steak and sea bass. We will absolutely be back!

We came here for dinner prior to a concert. First, finding the restaurant is confusing. You need to go through a separate lobby which is different from the main lobby of the JW Marriott. Restaurant is energetic with a bar around the corner and live music. Server was nice and eager to make suggestions. He asked if we had a time cap and we said yes, had a show at 8pm. He said no worries, we had plenty of time since we arrived at 6pm. We ordered the octopus, steak frites and miso salmon. Bread basket was nice but bread was cold...warm would've been a nice touch. The octopus was ok but I've had more tender octopus. The miso salmon was on the dry side and had 0 miso flavor...or any seasoning at all. The steak was well cooked but under seasoned. So overall the food was ok. Also a bit of a wait between our app and mains. We waited for the check as it was 745pm, and our server asked if we wanted dessert. I said, no, we have no time, we need to get to our show. Like, he completely forgot he asked us at the beginning if we had a time constraint! Overall not a bad meal but also not enough to make me want to come back.

We were a little disappointed with our dining experience. The food was good, but not great. The service was convoluted and disjointed. Multiple servers kept coming to our table, frequently asking how our food was, but sometimes would disappear. They clattered plates on and off the table, grabbed cutlery haphazardly, and seemed inexperienced with managing a table. Although everyone was friendly, it was not the upscale type of service that you'd expect based on the overall look and price point of the restaurant. The music was also extremely loud and our table was very dark.

Service was awful. Waited forever for our food and then it was cold. No view at all. Will never be back. I was embarrassed to bring out of town friends here.

A great place for a business lunch. I was taken back by the 20% gratuity that was automatically included but at least it was clearly noted.

Delicious cuisine, but quite pricey for inexperienced error prone service staff. Some may not like smallish menu choices, and more truly grilled entree meats would be an addition ( in a grill)

Decent food .. average service but not very attentive had to ask and wait for steak knives etc a little slow and they weren't that busy on a monday night ..

Not your typical hotel restaurant. We were staying at the JW Mariott and needed a place to sit down and have breakfast close. Reasonably priced for the area, but the food was excellent for breakfast.

The food, and service was excellent. The portion sizes were perfect, and the overall experience will keep me coming back. Great job.
