Buy better to go cups that don’t leak. I’ve been complaining about this years.

Decent coffee cafe with their own roasting. Fairly standard menu with a few unique specialty options.

Donuts are from do-right and the food was decent as well.

There's some art on display and seating is a bit limited. Worth a stop if you're nearby.

A nice place to stop for a quick coffee. I kept it simple and just got a drip coffee. Pretty good for early on a chilly morning. The staff was friendly and efficient. While there another customer in the location was being abrasive to them about his drink and they handed it with grace.

Unfortunately, I think this will be my last time visiting this coffee shop. The barista was so rude this morning and cold. Very short and unfriendly. This has been my experience in the past also with others there. Today, I spent over-$6 on a latte. It was lukewarm and I asked him to remake it. He challenged me and begrudgingly did so. Getting a nice coffee is a once a week treat for me and not an every day thing. There are many other great shops in the neighborhood where I will choose to spend my money.

The macchiato was bitter and the staff seemed disaffected at best… I mean, they have coffee, so there’s that.

Staff is always kind, very chill atmosphere. I'm usually just stopping in for a quick coffee, but it seems like a great place to do work/ catch up with a friend. Drinks are good and the kolaches are piping hot and delicious

I can't figure out why this place is so unnecessarily yet savagely rude. It's actually baffling how unfriendly at least 50% of their staff members are.Solely due to proximity of living in the area, I've been going here on and off for a year now and every time I leave, I'm confused by what just happened. There isn't even anything that "happens", it just genuinely seems like the majority of their staff is bothered by the existence of anyone and everyone who buys from them?I know customers can be difficult, especially in the food industry, so I've always tried to give a bit of grace to cashiers and baristas - hence having this recurring experience for a year and not saying anything. But, every time I've been to Groundswell, I've never observed situations that would merit how unfriendly and uninviting the staff is - I've gone first thing in the morning, to just before their mid-day close. There is the occasional more-friendly outlier, but most of their staff will not greet you when you enter, if you try to give decent friendly customer banter like "how are you" when ordering they won't respond (even when it's empty inside), and they will ignore you when you say pleasantries like "thank you." It's not the end of the world, but when it happens every time you're there by at least 1 member of the staff you interact with, it’s just a strange environment. This morning, there was a man paying before me, who was attempting to finish up a polite conversation with the cashier and other staff. I get how this can be annoying for the staff when you have to help other customers and someone keeps talking to you, but before the customer was wrapping up his sentence, the cashier looked at me, clearly ending his convo with the customer without saying anything. I looked back at forth at the cashier and the customer, indicating I was happy to let them finish. The cashier just said nothing and continued to stare at me... no "Enjoy your day, I need to help this customer" to the man, or simply telling me "What can I get for you?" or even a mere "Hi." He just deadpan stared at me. I then said I was only getting two donuts, waiting for some type of acknowledgement or perhaps a follow up question, but he stared at me saying nothing. I proceeded to tell him which types I wanted, and as he handed them over without looking at me, I said "Thank you!" and he did not acknowledge what I said, or even look back at me. Just... weird! If their coffee or food was amazing, I would maybe look past it, but everything is average. You can get a much better experience at Salsa's Family Market across the street or The Perfect Cup 1.5 blocks away if you prefer to shop local, and there's a Starbucks about 3 blocks away as well.

Coffee is great but giving it a 3 because the internet is atrocious. It is overly secure to the extreme and won't let you use any sites other than Google/Bing/E-mail for the most part, rendering the whole objective of working at a coffee shop impossible. I won't be back which is a shame because the coffee was delicious.
