Great place and spacious. We were a group of seven. We all had different beers to drink and two of us had a mixed drink that had grapefruit in it. Every employee is professional. Music was great. Bathrooms are beautiful and spotlessly clean. Very large gift shop if you are looking for that. It was my birthday and they gave me some Guiness ice cream (yes) and a Guiness beer with the foam on top had Make a Wish spelled on top. We ordered appetizers. We will return. I have attached some photos.

Nice place to sample different beverage choices made by Guinness. Trendy design. Would like to have an area set up like an old pub.

The bartender was absolutely terrible. Not only were they slow to take orders, but they were also rude and dismissive the entire time. When I finally got their attention, they seemed annoyed and uninterested in doing their job. They barely made eye contact and didn’t even crack a smile. The drinks they made were either wrong or watered down, and when I pointed it out, they rolled their eyes and shrugged. On top of that, they acted like I was inconveniencing them by even being there. Easily the worst service I’ve ever experienced from a bartender.

Best truffle fries I've ever had.

I was told by my waiter that I could have a black and tan but only if they made it with a cream ale. I even pressed him and he said he wasn't allowed to bring it with another beer. I feel as though if you have multiple Draughts you should be able to make it with any available beer on tap. It was really the reason I went so I was very disappointed.

I've been to countless places like this worldwide for over twenty years. This is the wors experience ever.Never have I encountered such disregard and unprofessionalism. The staff at this place were shockingly rude and unwelcoming.

Coffee Break Beer Cocktail was fantastic.
Roasty, but surprisingly refreshing.

Came in Saturday, October 5th for a beer and snacks. First time here. Beautiful Facility. Everyone created you as you walked by. Every beer we had was poured perfectly. We had the brown bread and cheese curds. Brown bread was a little dry. Chees curds were great. Was great experience.

We had a great first experience here and it honestly exceeded my expectations (hate to say, I'm always a little skeptical of "big brewery" experiences) and we will absolutely be back. The service was soooo good. We sat at the bar and service was prompt, professional, and helpful. In fact, after we made our choices, our server even gave us another small little pour to try to see if we liked it. We ordered the jasmine rice bowl with chickpeas and crispy chicken and it was super good. The truffle parmesan fries were perfectly crispy (no one likes a soggy fry!) and had great flavor. Of course the beer was great ???. Beautiful place, very clean, and tons of seating. I would definitely visit, and we plan to again! ??

Overall our experience was good, but several people in our group ordered the beef stew and it was very soupy...not thick like you'd expect stew to be. Would not order it again. The curry and the burger were very good.

A PLACE YOU WANT TO LOVE BUT DOES NOT LIVE UP TO EXPECTATIONS…

The place is beautifully and modernly set and decorated, though not in the least reminiscent of a pub, the Guinness brewery, or anything the beer stands for. You can live with this, but I bet it was not just me the only one who got lured by the Guinness folklore and spirit.

The brewery is in an up-and-coming neighborhood in Chicago, not far from the touristy areas, but be mindful that as of September ’24, the area might not be so family friendly/welcoming once the sun sets. Bear this in mind specially if visiting with kids, who are always welcomed.

The food is just OK. Even when thinking of pub food, nothing really stood out, and the menu, though containing a mix of small bites and main courses, remains limited. From our party’s very own experience, don’t have the rice, not even as a side, it felt very disagreeable. Burgers and wings, well, you can probably find better ones at a Chili’s.

Finally, what was supposed to be the star of the place, the beer. I must sadly report that it was a letdown!!! We’re talking about Chicago here, where you can find extraordinary tap beer just around almost any corner. Guinness Open Gate’s local batches were disappointing, with some beers tasting cloyingly citrusy (stay away from the salt and lime ale), others feeling barely carbonated, and not one memorable. Even the original Guinness draught beer lacked consistency and flavor –don’t know why.

On the bright side, Guinness Open Gate Brewery is very reasonably priced, and although the are no samplers, there’s an 8oz. glass that will let you try more than just a couple of options. Also, the souvenir store is very well stocked with quite some interesting products.

Had dinner with craft beer. Hafeweizen was very good. Excellent ambience and very friendly service. The kitchen was open till 10.45 pm.
They have very nice outside seating as well which is ideal in summer
