Restaurant not real busy. Waiter was pushing steaks and the expensive mixed drinks. Pasta dishes flavored well. The waiter would not split the check b/c of business expenses. Big Miss for something so simple. Other places to eat would try them before a quick return.

Great food, excellent service, couldn't not have been happier with our choice to eat there. Highly recommended.

Server was outstanding and we order grilled octopus which was the best we ever had. We split a pesto Gnocchi which was delicious. Highly recommend! The vibe and the food are the best!

Lupe the server was really good. Quick knowledgable and Efficient. Serving staff and others were really good. I was alone and ordered my entire meal from the appetizer menu. If there was an area for improvement it would be that they brought all the food at the same time basically so it was difficult to time out the meal. Flavors were on point.

Arrived at the restaurant after spending the day at the Christmas Market. We were shown to a table. I placed my coat on a chair and left to go wash my hands. When I returned, my husband was sitting at another table facing a corner wall with no view of the restaurant. Apparently he told the host he didn't like the first table because it was near the kitchen door slamming and noisy. I requested a different table upon my return and the Host was rude. The experience cast a shadow on our entire evening.

I was genuinely looking forward to dinner at Harry Caray’s, as it’s been a Chicago institution for years. Instead of waiting for a table, I sat at the bar. No issue there — the atmosphere was lively, the full menu was available, and there were plenty of TVs for anyone wanting to watch a game. The overall vibe is classic Chicago steakhouse, though not nearly as refined as places like The Capital Grille or RL Restaurant. Some staff still wear the traditional white jackets, which is a nice touch, but the bar area feels noticeably less polished than the dining room and could use an upgrade. For food, I ordered the shrimp cocktail and the grilled octopus. Both arrived at the same time even though the shrimp cocktail was meant to be an appetizer. The octopus was excellent — genuinely reminiscent of what I’ve had in France, Italy, and Malta. The shrimp cocktail, however, was underwhelming. It was served on a plain plate with cocktail sauce and no ice. The presentation needs improvement. For the price point at Harry Caray’s, it looked like an afterthought. I had a glass of La Crema chardonnay, which was perfectly fine. Bar service was adequate but impersonal. My water was never refilled. No one asked how my meal was, and I wasn’t offered dessert. The real problem (and the reason I won’t return!) was the surprise 3% surcharge added to my bill. When I asked what it was for, the bartender said it was “for the building” and that it was mandatory. He even added, “I don’t make the rules.” This is exactly the kind of deceptive, nickel-and-diming practice that gives restaurants a bad name. It’s not a tip, not a service charge, not a wage surcharge — it’s simply a junk fee added to inflate the restaurant’s revenue while pretending the listed prices are lower than they actually are. At a place of this stature, it’s shameful and frankly insulting to customers. Because of this undisclosed 3% fee, Harry Caray’s has lost my business. Chicago has no shortage of restaurants offering similar or better food without sneaking junk charges onto the bill. Travelers should be aware — what you see on the menu is not what you’ll pay.

Good place for lunch in the bar room. The regular dining rooms are not open. Food was decent and prices reasonable. Service, especially our bus boy, were good.

Service was excellent. We weren't rushed through dinner. Food was very good. We had a party of 5 and everyone really enjoyed their dinner.

This is a fantastic restaurant that exudes a real, family-run warmth from the moment you enter. It was difficult to choose just a handful of the delectable meals on the menu! Every mouthful of the creamy Bolognese pizza that followed our appetizer of bruschetta and calamari was delectable and obviously lovingly prepared. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the amounts were enormous. The entire crew was friendly and upbeat. We can't wait to visit Bristol again soon!

Service was amazing. Our server was so nice and so good to my daughter. He took the time to make out family special.

Humberto was a pretty arrogant waiter. He made our meal all about him. Pushed hard on a la carte sides that weren't good, messed up our order, when my $75 steak was overcooked he blamed me, saying I didn't truly know what rare was (Seriously?). Couldn't confidently recommend.

Restaurant was too cold - food got cold very quickly due to room temperature Baked potatoes sold out ! A restaurant living off its name and not quality of the food
